And I just played through the entire U.S. version a few months ago. You didn't even use the SHIELD spell. I guess Link takes more damage in the U.S. version.
What was up with Thunderbird? He never made a sound when I fought him. He sounds like a bandsaw.
@slpinkydee you know why? because the Famicom Disk System has extra sound capabilities/sound hardware so the sounds and even the music in some FDS games sounded like 8+2=10 bit music. i hope that helps ALOT
@ShadowZero1980 It's definitely easier than the US version. Just played through it. The bosses take more damage from Link for sure. They pulled some really nasty tricks on us here in the US. They claim not to have released SMB2 because it was similar looking to SMB1 and it's "Difficulty", yet they release a near impossible Legend of Zelda 2 for us... :P
