I'm not sure if you found out or not, but this is a russian blue. You can read about them online but there are some distinct marks on some of them that make them more "valuable" like show cats, but some of them have mauve colored paws, the padding, but facial structure is a bit more like a siamese cat's facial structure and in temperament. This one looks identical to most russian blues I come across. I hope you still have her, she looks precious. I found one in the forest out here.
She's making sounds as if she is angry, but she LOOKS relaxed and she isn't trying to get away from you, so I guess that's just how she sounds. She's gorgeous and I love her angry-sounding meows.
No. She was just an interloper, and belonged to the neighbours over the road. So I couldn't really take her with me when I left. Anyway, she's a very difficult and demanding kitty - very moody, and can never decide whether she likes attention or peace-and-quiet.

Some cats are just grumpy. Notice the ears were up, not flat, and the eyes were not dialated. I've met grumpy but relaxed cats before. They're just vocal.
