I helped my 5th grade neice with her science fair project. I helped her to build a solar cell that can recharge itself by the light powered by it. I knew it wouldnt work, but in her hypothesis she thought it was possible. Radioshack has alot of supplies to work with, just costly.
dude can you tell me where you got this stuff? or at least the solar panels? and also just like some stuff about wiring it up and what not? im doing a solar energy experiment too and i cant find anything near me

Well i luckily before BP solar merged with Solarx <-- (i think thats the new name) my uncle worked for BP solar. but when they merged he got layed off. :( But he had his collection of cool gadgets from the lab at BP solar so he let me borrow the solar panel. You can buy small solar panels online like the one i have in this video, but im sure they will be expensive...
Id say your best bet to find things for that kind of project would be the internet or a local hardware store...(maybe) or other connections that you have.
