a week ago I went to see Stratovarius in the tour that made to farewell of his drummer ... and between the four bands who came (orphaned land, amorphis, in extremo & Stratovarius) this was the only the one thatt i didn't know .... and turned out to be my favorite of all four xD... long live to orphaned land lml
the fact that these guys even Exist is a great thing...the fact they also kick arse is the icing on the cake. Fuckin brilliant! just wish I understood a bit of arabic!
In my opinion word 'sapari' is a synonym of 'sofer', which means man learned in Torah, scribe. Argument, which can back up my theory is the same root in word 'sapari' and 'sofer' - סופר. The difference appears when you want to read this word, because as we know in Hebrew letter known in Latin alphabet as a "P" has name 'Pei', and the letter 'F' is known as a 'Fei'. Pei and Fei haven't got cloistered letters, both are represented by the same letter 'Pei/Fei' - פ.
Aside from this, clip of this song shows man, who is writing something in Hebrew, and we can suppose that he is studying Torah.
Of course I can be mistaken, that's my totally loose interpretation which I conceived between learning about Ancient Israel and listening to this amazing song ;)
Actually, the design reminds me very strongly of the Methodist church's cross, which does indeed have a flame representing the Holy Spirit. Surely you're not going to tell me you think Methodists are satanic. ;-)
@MonthuRa , i know this thing, but c'mon ,why they need to put a burning cross, and sometimes with snakes, are they against christianity?because their symbol is a burning cross, and i consider it satanic enough. Why a cross?why not something else,i like their genre of music, but i'm christian and i don't like to see burning cross, because the cross for me is a saint symbol. And i think that doesn't matter if the cross is or not before christianity, the symbol of the cross nowadays is important not then.
@shlomir82 לא. זו עברית בהיגוי תימני, זה כן. תימנית זה בטח שלא - תימנית זה ניב של ערבית. השיר כאן הוא לחלוטין בעברית, עם ההיגוי התימני, שהוא הקרוב למקור - לעברית הארכאית.
@37Darkshadow My native language is Hebrew. I can assure you that they sing in Hebrew (apart from one verse in English), I understand it all. I agree that the tone sounds a bit like Arabic's, but that's because it's archaic Hebrew pronunciation, which is close to nowadays' Arabic pronunciation.) ;)
Seeing them tonight baby!! that's waz up!
