i to have ACM 1 your little angel will will not go thru alot of pain which certainly comes with this awfull condition, he must have had ACM 2. with the large herniation he had he must have had allot of complcations. god bless you and jacob he is now with the angels and will not suffer the effects of this miserable condition.

Also, there was a post saying that my dad did not approve that stated that Jacob having ACM was my fault because only people who do drugs have children with it...and that is completely false. Arnold Chiari is a birth defect and has absolutely nothing to do with what a mother does or does not due while she is pregnant. Some people can have Chiari and never know because they have no symptoms, others, like Jacob are unfortunate and lose their lives because of this horrible disease. continued....

I would just like to say to everyone who sees this...there have apparantly been some different views as to how Jacob died, but I am writing this as Jacob's mother. Jacob was a happy, loving child and did die from Arnold Chiari Malformation. The primary cause of death was central apnea due to Arnold Chiari Malformation II, related to Myelomeningocele(Spina Bifida). In my opinion ACM did kill my son because without it, he would not have had any of the other issues that he had. to be continued....

I'm so sorry Jacob! I have ACM too, but I live as a normal person. Last year I've got some photos of my brain, unfortunately I don't understand them. I'm 20 and I knew about my disease for one year. I have symptoms, for example headache and my hand are trembeling a lot.
