It's not a glitch, the sing notes have a very high priority, so as long as they touch, even an attacking enemy (as long as they are on the ground) will get put to sleep..

I would, but I recently got a bad grade on my test, and my parents banned me from Brawl. Thankfully there's a makeup test on Monday,so I have to study a lot now.
