  • Just so you know America roughly uses the same amount of coal to produce electricity compared to China. And American uses 4 times the energy of Chinese per capita. So go figure who's polluting the planet.

Not to mention the energy used by China is to produce stuffs for the rest of the world.

  • oh no, it's fucking coal in the damn water no-one even uses. Calm down guys, there's a COAL MINE NEARBY. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT. It's just unfortunate that there happens to be a coal mine near the creek. Oh, everyone panic, cuz it's the end of the world. Bloody oath.

  • It's just coal...chill out guys.

China is now the country spending the most on alternative energy...isn't not like they don't want to clean up the mess.

  • Water eventually makes its way to the sea, this bullshit is going to end up in the ocean and then be circulated around the world. Fuck

  • @dt24 it will get into the foodcain as well as shrimps, crail eat it and then moves up to fish then into the human foodchain. Unethical as they are the only way to stop this as they dont give a rats ass abiut their own people let alone the world is to boycott china, no production no pollution.

  • @seonidh And America, by your logic the world should of been boycotting america for the better part of 40 years - thats how long america has created more pollution per capita than China is producing now.

  • china has one of the greatest pollution laws (except for a few minor flaws). I've read them myself but the problem is the government doesn't enforce it. If the chinese government just enforce their laws, things would turn better in china.

  • America will follow these overpopulated older countries because America is too dumb to learn from them. Just a few million more Mexicans should do it. Couple of oil spills, more cars, and some heavy breeding.

  • CCP sucks.

  • The Communist Party of China pollute the china and the world

  • Pollution of china is amazing

  • Of course under a cap and trade carbon economy the big polluters in US and Canada and UK would subsidize emerging nations like China. (Emerging nations with space programs, nuclear program...real hard up types)

  • Amazing china!!!

How do you feel??? Proud??? -sigh-

  • Comment removed

  • Are you sure you should be dipping your hand in that?

  • @emosucks89 thats what I was gonna say lol

  • China is changing rapidly to reduce pollution. The US has had since the industrial revolution to get its act together.

China wasn't independent until after WWII.

White supremacists pretending to be environmentalists are just trying to keep another non white country down. BTW with public transit and bikes, it's apparent they're more environmentally conscious than our suv driving dipshits that have never and will never go off road.

  • @Bill1275w You are extremely ignorant. "Btw, with public transit and bikes, it's apparent they're more environmentally conscious." That is because that is the only kind of transportation those people can afford. And if you think there's no public transit in the US, you're a complete moron, I've taken the bus all over Seattle, it's affordable and a great way to get about. Get your head out of your ass and see what China is actually doing to its people, it's terrible, and NOTHING like the US.

  • @TheRealOneEye You must not have read or seen anything out of China in 20 years. China is already ahead of Japan as the second largest economy in the world.

China is the largest car market in the world at 5 times the US.

  • @TheRealOneEye Like the U.S. China has a large coal industry, but it doesn't have a lobby and when miners get killed from safety violations, executives die too. When China says we're moving to clean energy, it's going to happen. Lobbbies aren't going to hold them back and they are ahead of us in clean energy implementation already. They produce more solar cells and wind turbines than we do.

  • lol, humanity.

  • The world should influence China to increase their standards. They should increase the price of their products. More money means, higher quality and safety. More money for the workers and the people to inforce the regulation. This is not just China's fault but everyone, and we are all affected by it. Pollution does not stick to one country alone but throughout the world, especially with air and water pollution. We can all do this and save China.

  • It's China's fault alone. If you think money will solve this problem you're terribly ignorant.

  • It requires strick policy, money and also for the consumers to impose strick laws. By the American side of the product (WalMart) do not even care how the product is made. As long as it doesn't hurt the costumer and or they don't know about it then it's good to go. That's what we get for trying to be cheap, pollution that will not only harm China but eventually the rest of the world.

  • Blame China. Consumers will always look for a low price. Do you expect them to look for a higher price. Stop blaming the world for China's crimes.

  • I feel sorry for the chinese people their government lacks common sense they need to know they are not the only fucking country on the black.

  • China is fuking up the entire planet!

  • @Salmo77

at least we dont start wars everywhere, drop nukes everywhere and steal oil to fuck up the whole planet.

  • @Salmo77 Humans are fucking up the planet. If you want to save the Earth then go kill yourself.

  • @Salmo77 well yes, but it's necessary for progress, China is still a third world country afterall, and Britian and rest of Europe also went through ther industrial period with fair amount of pollution as well.

  • But each year China defers buying advanced technology, older equipment goes into scores of new coal-fired plants with a lifespan of up to 75 years.

"This is the great challenge they have to face," said David Moskovitz, an energy consultant who advises the Chinese government. "How can they continue their rapid growth without plunging the environment into the abyss?"

  • Industrialized countries could help by providing loans or grants, as the Japanese government and the World Bank have done, or by sharing technology. But Chinese utilities have in the past preferred to buy cheap but often-antiquated equipment from well connected domestic suppliers instead of importing costlier gear from the West.

  • You have PLENTY of money in China, use your own money, your argument is flawed.

  • You must be a liberal democrat to think that money is the solution. China has no standards and they don't care, money will never fix anything.

  • Aware of the country's growing reliance on coal and of the dangers from burning so much of it, China's leaders have vowed to improve the nation's energy efficiency. No one thinks that effort will be enough. To make a big improvement in emissions of global-warming gases and other pollutants, the country must install the most modern equipment — equipment that for the time being must come from other nations.

  • And it has increased coal consumption 14 percent in each of the past two years in the broadest industrialization ever. Every week to 10 days, another coal-fired power plant opens somewhere in China that is big enough to serve all the households in Dallas or San Diego.

  • Coal is indeed China's double-edged sword — the new economy's black gold and the fragile environment's dark cloud.

Already, China uses more coal than the United States, the European Union and Japan combined.

  • The sulfur dioxide produced in coal combustion poses an immediate threat to the health of China's citizens, contributing to about 400,000 premature deaths a year. It also causes acid rain that poisons lakes, rivers, forests and crops

  • omg, this was 2 years ago..

  • yeah, it's even worse now.

  • Last year, the Datong mine produced 1.5 million tons. They've been given a new target of 2.3 million tons annually.

The Chinese government is under huge pressure to improve mine safety and to reduce pollution. But 80 percent of China's power is generated by burning coal. China's leadership in Beijing may be less dependent on popular support than their American counterparts in Washington; but they're getting the same message: "It's the economy, stupid."

  • usa sues china, and a huge loan decreases

  • The Chinese should keep drinking the water to reduce their excess population. Just remember Chinese, USA ownz you!

  • god damn you are an idiot. we don't actually own most of the factories in china, we only buy most of the stuff.

  • Quite the opposite, actually. China owns the US. Remember - the Chinese own a tremendous amount of our debt.

  • That`s spam huh?

  • What a bunch of morons you people are. I bet you live in the USofA which *is* the biggest producer of green-house gases and is destroying the planet. Check your facts before you make complete idiots of yourselves. Yes pollution in China is horrible but the USA is destroying the atmosphere faster then any other country.

  • Not for long at the rate China is going.. They open 1 coal fired power plant a week over there with no emission control and they have a lot more coal to burn than we do..

  • The world would be a better place without China.. But the stupid Americans and the rest of the world needs their cheap shit toys.. And their pollution..

  • What a moron, you blame the USA for pollution in China, who creates environmental laws for China? THE CHINESE YOU FUCKING RETARD!

Enforced strict environmental laws = LOW POLLUTION!

  • How can you enforce strict environmental laws on a country that has no environmental couth when you never want to step up to the plate on your own carbon and pollution emissions you fucking retard! What happened at the "Bali meeting".. 50% in how many years?

  • communist hero!

  • I do not thing Chinese give a fuck about pollution and you will agree if you have been there.... it is a fucking dump of waste .... and corrupt like nothing else

  • WAKE UP HUMANITY! The Earth is being destroyed by us all in the name of PROFIT, and that's really sad. It's really hard for us as people that live in these cities to make any difference, but we can. Just by posting this video, you have shown people how disgusting things are getting, and eventually things will have to change. But will it be to late??

  • its sad how world super powers suck.

  • very fukin dirty ! Chinas gotta do somfin about it! concerntrate on ur Fukin air quality insdeed of ecnomic more man!

  • ignorant chinese

  • horrible! it took the US a long time to clean up slag around coal mines... still working on it... China's not getting the message yet looks like

  • And the air is not better...

  • Nope, the creek runs alongside coal mines. So the black reside is coal.

  • is that oil?

  • Oh my God. I hope China is definitely taking the polluted water into consideration and cleaning it up. I feel sorry for those who have to drink that.

  • que loco!
