Great video! I get emotional every time they announce michael Jordan and crowd goes wild! "From North Carolina!!!! Number 23!!!! Michael Jordan!!!!!"-Epic!!:)
Only the Man with his own statue outside of the United Center could make today's fans chant "MVP...MVP...MVP!!!!" more than a decade after he left Chicago... Now THAT'S LEGENDARY.
I don't hate Jim Durham, but that's a bold statement that they NOT ONLY SHOW UP TO THE FINALS, BUT WIN IT. At some point the, Bulls will LOSE a Finals in the future. There is no shame in losing a Finals. The Yankees in baseball have been to the World Series 40 times and have won the title 27 times. There is no shame in losing. They are on pace that even if they lose a few, they still have a good win-loss ratio in the Finals for awhile. They will lose at some point. I'm just saying.
I actually became a Bulls fan in 1997. I wasn't into basketball but thanks to my uncles for getting me addicted to it. I was truly honored to watch MJ win his 6th and final NBA championship with the Bulls in 1998 when I was 7. It was amazing when the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup in 2010 and 2011, it could be the year for the Bulls to win the NBA title and be two great years in Chicago Sports history. Are you shitting me? Two people hate this video. They can go to hell!
I went to this game just for the 20th anniversary, to see the old bulls team and the Greatest player of all Time Michael Jordan. When MJ was about to do his speech right after Pippen place got so loud, everybody showing love to MJ. I even had tears in my eyes seeing my idol in person for the first time. Definitely emotional night for a lot of people.
Gave me the chills. I miss their type of game. There has never been a team more fun to support. I hope MJ is right and DRose 'n company can get a few rings in the next few years. It's very excting to be a Bulls fan right now. Also, I'm assuming that the two dislikes were from some Detroit fans. Ouch...
As soon as Pippen was introduced I got a bit emotional lol, and that ovation they had for Jordan was unreal, felt like a movie how the emotions were so easily triggered.
I am from India but I got goosebumps when I watched this. Mj was truly a world superstar and Chicago was awesome to have him. His drive for greatness along with pippin was memorable.
This was great I was born in Chi but raised in SOCAL and have been a Bulls fan since the beginning, I wanted to come back to Chicago just for that but oh well but I'm glad I was able to witness that 91 Bulls squad in my opinion was the best Bulls squad of all time even better then the 72 win team. Well lucky that I have found plenty of games and highlights of that team as well as NBA 2k11 :p
Really moving. Its up there with MJ's HOF induction, but no tears this time lol. Just a huge smile. Gettin old man. Just think, for 6 years outta this decade, we get to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Bulls championships, and hopefully some new ones sandwiched in with em. GO BULLS!
I'm sure Derrick Rose though even though he is in charge of Jordan's franchise, wants to establish his own legacy with the Bulls. I'm glad that the Bulls are taking care of him very much like they did with Jordan. Rose is a great player, you have to just build around him like they did with Jordan with Pippen, Grant, Cartwright, etc in 1991 and the pieces will just fall into place. Jordan also defeated Isiah and Magic at the sunset and the end of their careers also during that season of 90-91.
The understandment between MJ and the City of Chicago is clear...He only needs to do a little smile and the whole crowd starts to roar...When a smile means more than a thousend words...GOOSEBUMPS!!
The 90s bulls (any one of the championship year teams) would absolutely DECIMATE any team in this era. HANDS DOWN! Kobe couldn't hold MJ's stock strap by the way...
After having watched this video, I'm glad I got to see the Bulls play many times back in the 90's. I was too young at the time to remember much, though.
tell me why they havnt made a movie on pipens life.. no scholarship and took a job as a welder to put himself through college and finally got his break at central arkansas and put in all the elbow grease to get in the NBA to become a NBA world champion and one of the NBA's 50 greatest player....
I was there at the game and it made me so happy to see the team back together. Brought back great memories and it almost brought my old man to tears. It was truly a special moment. Trust me when I say, the stadium was shaking when Jordan came out.
Goosebumps aaall the fucking way.... sweet Jesus... The Legends Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen...the golden era of the NBA in general...
I never ever was more excited watching a sports team, than when I was watching the 90's Bulls. MJ simply the greatest, and Pip right there next to him...
All the way baby...all the way... (still got goosebumps while typing all this...)
@GunGemini This team made other teams in the league better. The mid 90's Sonics, Blazers, The Suns after aquiring Ainge & Barkley, Starks & The Knicks, Miller & The Pacers, ... even Mullin & The Warriors were great on a given night.
This team made Bulls fans out opf people who didn't watch basketball. Heck - my MOM new the starting lineup of the Blazers in 1992. :) GO BULLS!
How ironic would it be for Phil Jackson to win hist last championship with the Lakers in 2011 and winning his first against the Lakers in 1991? Crazy! I don't care what anyone says, that would be an amazing story.
@TSGS21 ironic but not fitting. I don't want any other team to even come close to what MJ and the Bulls accomplished other than the current Bulls team
In some ways I feel sorry for Scottie. He will always be second fiddle to Michael Jordan. It's great that they were the best duo of all time and won 6 championships together, but Scottie will never get enough credit for how good he was. Of course if you listen to Kobe fans, Scottie would have had 8 championships if he didn't have MJ holding him back.
@VinmanMJ23 why would you feel sorry for Pippen, the guy was number 2 to the greatest in the game. NO-ONE is as good as Mike, yet Pippen was the next best player on those super teams and is enjoying all these accolades and fame becuz of it. I can assure you Pippen does not feel at all ashamed of being second banana to the great one. When Jordan returned in 1995, Pippen was so freakin happy cuz he knew they wouldn't win without MJ. I'm glad for Pippen, he gets mentioned many times next to Mike
@VinmanMJ23 I'm pretty sure that Pippen lost almost all of his money in poor investments after basketball, so the Bulls re-hired him in a PR position of something like that. Mostly his fault, but he's rich no more.
@Hypebusta oh yea he did didn't he? well at least he'll always have the Bulls franchise to help him out in hard times. How does one piss away $120 million though?
@TAJY26 They did pretty well against the Knicks in '94. They were still good - but yeah, no MJ - no ring. Although Michael really benefited from Pippen. He may have won a lot of the individual accolades without him - but the championships were team efforts.
Think how freakin' lucky - not only to have an MJ come through, but at the same time a kid from Arkansas who could mimic and learn and be at the same level AND play together. You just can't architect this kind of team. Truly special.
Damn, this relived moment feels too good. Brings tears to my eyes, after realizing how epic the sweep of the Pistons was. From boys to men. LET'S GO BULLS!!!
Thank you for posting this, love reliving those glory days. It appears that the glory days have returned with D-Rose leading the way. MJ and Scottie greatest duo ever in my opinion, would love to see them tear up this current generation.
Daaaaaaannnngg Stacy, what happened lol? MJ's presence and speech was so epic, he's definitely ahead of kobe in the MVP voting this year lol

John Paxson should have his number retired. The 1991 team was great. This is a fitting tribute. Thanks for the upload.

The irony of the Bulls playing against the Jazz. (The team that the Bulls beat for their last 2 titles.
