It came out great! I agree, it seems like a lot of work. I might try it when I have a towel on its last legs, though, because I always have cute scraps I can't bear to toss out.

Really pretty! You know, if I made a rug out of one of my "old" towels, it would look like crap. Shamefully, I run my towels to the ground. I swear, not even donation worthy. BUT, I love this idea!!

@MouseChirpy ha!! I used to use mine pretty well. But now, like I collect shoes and bags, apparently I cannot get enough of changing out my bathroom every six months or so. Sometimes that includes towels, most times not, because they are getting freaky expensive these days. Even at Ross!

I have to put towels down in the foyer when it rains and such to catch all the gunk that Wishy and Papi drag in..I think I'll try making a big ass one out of 2 of the old towels we use for that and pretty them up a bit. What a fun idea!! Love ya, Ang

@GramsandPapi Super easy to modify...but the rolling up may get quite bulky... unless you do half at a time, remove, start from other end.

Oh, that must be why you have to take off the folded part - it would be too thick to get through the machine. But I like it. We can choose exactly the colors we want to go in our bathroom and make a couple to change it up. Cool! Thanks Beth.

If I were making this for someone, I would make sure it was as perfect as possible. But really, you are just stepping on it. Sometimes soaking wet, sometimes not. So why worry?

If I can ever figure out how to use my sewing machine I am going to try this one! I just bought new towels during Christmas and was wondering what I could do with some of my older ones! These you can just toss in the washing machine!

I really like this. I bet this would also be nice as a mat for animals. I know my cat's and dog would like it in the summer. I'm always finding the cat's in my bathroom on the mat. :) Very cute too.
