That happened in a Pop Warner game I played in when I was thirteen. I was playing DE on the left side. The play went to our right and the RB fumbled. It was picked up by our right side DE. I threw the block that enabled him to go all the way, but while I lay on the ground, I watched another teammate block an opponent in the back and the red flag crossed over him as he stumbled. I can imagine how Kevin Williams must have felt.
