  • and............... its a piece of shit lol

  • Hey that thing works for iPad 2 or not just th I touch

  • @Aaron509213 It was made for the ipod touch only, even the IDJ3 can't use Iphone 4

  • @eangolden how do you record with the mixer

  • do u know if u can play "non-itunes store authentic" songs from your itunes library? (they play on my ipod, so...)

  • @AZNallday

i have one of these. yes, you can put mp3's onto a usb stick (2 usb ports in back) or external hard drive. or you can use an ipod via the ipod port (shown in video). you can play almost any audio format. including apple formatted ACC. it plays generic mp3 and WAV as well.

  • does it have an auto mix or auto fade between songs if needed?

  • @mrmilomannowra

    no auto fade.

  • can you make own beats

  • could you please send me a mail or something with your top 100+ of cool disco songs because my music library is kinda lame????

  • that sounds sick!

  • Is it for ipod touch tooo ???

Is it dificiult for a begínner to use :) ?

  • @emfr96

i feel like the idj2 is beginner friendly, but advanced enough to be a professional tool in a pinch as well.

  • what songs u usin'

  • how i choose what side i what to listen to with my head phones?

  • Love the video buddy. Hey do me a favor and spread the word i have a website called djpreskits com. I'm helping newbies get gigs.

    Thanks Rob (Canada Calgary)

  • hahah.. "feels like using a par of CDJ 1000" Craaazy guy..

  • is doesnt show the waves of the song does it? U pretty much need to know the songs my ear i assume

  • any1 know when iDj 3 is coming to the stores?

And does the power cord work with other contries than the US? Does it come with different wires like the iPod?

  • @skrbicdu Actually it can. I tried it at best buy with my iphone and ipod touch.

  • How can i record with this mixer?

  • @danmos29 it has a record rca output you can hook it up to a computer directly

  • i played with this at best buy and it is awesome! i love it!! i woulda bought it but it cost 300!

  • @Sokur22 Are you joking? A normal one is about $600 or $1,000 when it first came out so 300 sounds like a bargain.

  • Can you plug an additional mixer into it and use the iDJ2 as tables and do the mixing from a different mixer?

  • i suppose you could, if you wanted to mix a lot more songs together..

  • can i run virtual dj through this thing

  • how does it cost?

  • It looks great, but I have read a lot of reviews, and almost all of them have negative statements about this console: Errors, bugs, and many things that makes it a not-so-great buy......

  • Is this worth buy?? or what would be better?

  • alijghhjwerwerhwjerjw

  • what the track on the left channel

and also um did u do it with your ipod or computer

and the last question is do i need speakers

actually this is my last question how do i get the case with the key board

  • is this even worth buying?

  • can you use your phone via usb ports in the back

  • haha im in canada, and I have it:) sickest shit

  • Do you think if u master this machine you can play a pair of cdj1000's? , not saying ur very good at it then but can you basicly learn how to Dj on this machine?

  • yes i'd say definitely

  • can you buy this in canada?

  • What is that track on the left channel? ouch... dats a rough tight track!!!

  • its just like a pair of cdj1000's..... HAH!.....WANK!

  • whats the best type of speakers to go with this ..... im thinking of buying this ... plz help me out!

  • does it work with the ipod touch 2g

  • yes it does,

This product is compatible with the following iPods:

    iPod (1st-6th Generation)

    Mini (1st-2nd Generation)

    Shuffle (1st-2nd Generation)

    Nano (1st-3rd Generation)

    Touch*

    iPhone*

  • I tried with my iPhone (1st gen 8 GB) and it did not work. Can you explain the * you placed next to it???

  • * means "Direct Mode Only". You can play music directly, but you can't choose two songs at the same time....

    Maybe Numark will update this......iDJ3?

  • idj 3 is in the works my friend

  • i dunno think its the new versionss?

  • what is the name of the first track he's playing.. anyone know?

  • so you can take the lyrics out of 1 song and throw them with a beats of another?

  • no you cant

  • Would you say this is a good product for a beginner "DJ", i mean i have never done this before but i am looking into buying something to start me of. or can someone reccomend me a decent "deck" to start of with :)

  • try 'm-audio' dj products

  • try the vci-100 i like it

  • Över dåligt

  • hey can annyone help me..

im triyng to buy a set.. y already have speakers and headphones. i have 450us to buy an equipment.. which one do you recomend me..

pm' me or reply me ..

    thanks :)..

  • hey, i probally sound like a noob, but you can scratch with it, right?

  • yeah, but the scratching isnt too good on it. What is ur budget? i can tell u whats the best u can get for scratching

  • well i already have traktor, so something that can scratch without too much else

  • i got the hercules rmx, great controller. maybe you should get traktor scratch pro setup? with some used technick 1200 turntables.

  • you can connect your cdj1000 to idj2 , it also serves as a mixer

  • I love my IDJ2..been using it heavily for the last 5 months and it only skipped twice...hoping they will go more "pro" with idj3...btw. "phone channel switch" sucks biiiiiig time and it's the only bad thing about idj2...not very user friendly in club situations...but mixing on the console is a dream if you knew how to mix before...if this was my product I would make it more "pro"..remove the iPod station, introduce a touch screen and double the price :)

  • is there a idj 3 in the works?

  • no news yet...

  • what were the songs

  • I heard its not that great. Its made of cheap plastic, the crossfader sucks as you could hear in this video. And it lags bad when you cue a song in. Just what I read from reviews though...

  • IS THERE A SOUNDCARD INCLUDED?

  • This is not a midi controller - think of it more as a pair of cdj's and a 2 channel mixer all strapped together. So it does indeed produce sound on its own without the aid of a soundcard.

  • how much was it??

  • i think around $500

  • I've just bought an IDJ2 and I loaded the new firmware onto it, now if i dont touch it for about a minute it goes into demo mode, stopping the track thats playing.

This is very annoying, does anyone know how to turn the demo mode off?

  • How much ??

  • about 500 US$ on ebay. in my country (Sweden) it costs 9000 SEK which is twice as much

  • Who cares about atuto beat match It takes me 2.3 seconds to match a beat.If there like CDJ1000.I dunno didnt have that ,any effects I need looping,Filter, and echo, anything would be nice.

  • Couple of questions

    A) can you plug in usbs to the back and play those with your ipod

    B) do the songs you want to play have to be non-itunes protected songs

and C) is it good quality sound

  • I see this product being used more buy mobile DJs who have people bring up their iPods and want to have some of their music played. I know I have been at a few gigs where someone will come up and say they have some songs that will get the crowd dancing and had to turn them down because I had no way to mix the iPod into my music already playing through the mixer. This might not be a bad investment for smaller parties and house gigs. Not so much for clubs though. Stick with CDJs or TTs for those.

  • anyone tried this thing with a kaoss pad or something similar

  • i guess its good 4 beginners?¿?¿

  • it's a solid peice of equipment considering it is meant for mobile apps...

no effects is a big downer though

  • yo juss wonderin, why da hell are dey always mixin tecno musik????

  • why the fuck waste money on this shit? go buy a nice mixer! anyway, mixing with mp3 is OMEGA LAME,because mp3 has a very low bitrate and sucks overall...use original CDs or FLAC.

  • hey jus wanted to know peoples opinions compared to the cortex dmix 600 for mixing, and does this handle aac files?

    thanks

  • can u scratch with it ?>

  • yup

works aight but not near vinyl with some good needles

  • I bought this product and i found out that it is TOO BASIC for mixing.

just wanted to share my point of view

  • it cant make toast though can it lol

  • I want to buy this product but, I really need to know if its compatible with an Ipod Touch. Some are saying no it isnt, some are saying yes it is. And I gotta know for sure.

  • fuck this.

    il stick with vinyl

  • i fuckin agree, cdj's maybe for unreleased shit, but vinyl is the way people

  • innit these boys dnt knooo shit!!!! next people wil be djin ringtones on their fones!!!

  • thanks for the video!! thanks

  • because this thing is like 2 years old, so no iPod touch support

  • Why wont support my Ipod Touch?

  • the idj2 came out when the ipod touch didn't exist yet ( my english is bad i dont know if i wrote it right)

  • Can you use this for the clubs?

  • Most likely you can, its pretty much the same thing as using CDJ's or your laptop.

  • is there a button that u can switch to vinyl mode ?

  • How much cost this one ????

  • can u listen to one track on your earphones while u play another song on the player and trying to mixit.

  • yes.

  • I don't trust it

  • Does it work with the Ipod Touch

  • yea, if it doesnt plug straight in, then you would have to connect a cord going from the ipod touch to the idj.

  • i am get the one

  • does it use batteries or do you plug it in PLEASE RESPOND!!

    -iDJ2 customer-

  • that is not your customer service

  • of course you plug it in, batteries can't sustain the kind of voltage required by all those gizmos and lights!

  • FYI you plug it in has adapter.

  • i saw this one and its quite handsome, its from numark too, im a little worried as it costs a little more , i thought i can get a bargain on this. nice review :)

  • I jst bought this today with everthing for 1thousand4

  • does it work with iphone too ?

  • I think not

  • does it work with iphone too ?

  • Excellent overview thanks Ean. The unit looks great. Is there a suitable Jack to plus a laptop into the mixer? (I'm thinking to hook a projector onto my laptop to run tempo-based lighting software to synch with my iPod-based mixes. Cheers Peter

  • I WANT ONE how much!?

  • I don't have an ipod, I use virtual dj. Can i use virtual dj with this.

  • it has 2 usb ports in the back so you can plug any mass storage devise in, so you could rip some of you tunes to a cheap usb memory stick and away you go. iPod not necessary.

  • dont lie ean you didnt like any part of that thing...hahaha

  • I'd love to check one of these out, just to get a feel for the controls.

    Great concept.

  • I got this but when i scratch the music falls away at the end , doesn't sound like a real rap scracth ether :p

  • the only real scratch sound you can get is with 1200's.

  • does the idj2 beatmatch automaticly (in other words, can you sync with the idj2) ?

  • What do you mean "beatmatch automatically"!?! That's to whole point of DJing. If you can't beatmatch then wtf are you doing trying to DJ?

  • Exactly! so many people think they're so cool now a dayz...

  • there is no auto beatmatch, but of course there is a LED light showing the tempos of both A and B, you can match by watching that visually or using your cue-headphone

  • Great way to get made fun of by actual DJ's.

  • Whats an actual DJ? There's no such thing as a fake DJ. Sad person

  • if a dj wants, he can mix from 2 mp3players and a cheap mixer. people dont care of your tools. they care about how you mix those songs

  • if you base your DJing skills on JUST the equipment you have then what does that say about u. It says that u have no talent watsoever, and that u rely on thee equipment to do the work. Good DJs could make anything like this sound good. respect comes from what YOU do, not wat gear u have. sorry dude x

  • Do you think as an all rounder it is better than vinyl decks with a mixer, because im interested in one of these but not sure if decks would be better, because they have more variation, cheers

  • Have you any problems with this? And have you hooked it up to turntables?

  • I know the I-DJ2 is capable of scratching. Is the jog wheel touch sensitive like the Pioneer CDJ's? On top of that, is there a curve adjustment on the crossfader?

  • unfortunately the jog wheel is not sensitive to touch as far as to stop the track, and yes there is a curve for cross fader

  • can i use the ipod touch to idj2?

  • any ipod with the bottom thingy where you plug into your comp. So yes, it will work. I have one and use my friends iphone which is essentially the same thing.

  • I tried this thing @ the iPod shop in my city, cool thing:P

  • cant you guys make a video on idj2 scartchnig?

  • its harder to scratch on one of those than on real turntables

  • Lol pois tambem eu mas custam 700 aerios dass

  • dava tudo pa ter uma mesita desas fodssssssss

  • so once you buy this (i knnow this is a stupid question) do u just plugg it all up to ur computer

  • no, you dont really use the computer. Its for USB flash drives and the Ipod

  • hi guys

thanks god for youtube. i feel that you get a better feel for how others feel AND you can watch product vid with comments. thanks to everyone for posting. heres my question-99% of the music i have on itunes is either downloaded (limewire) or imported from cd. i have never bought a track. will these songs play without a hiccup? thanks.

  • Yes, you should not have any problems with standard mp3 files

  • Hey Ean,

How long do you think it will take Numark to come out with the IDJ3? To where there are more bells and whistles and all the kinks get ironed out. Seriously.

    Thanks!

  • I cant see that coming out for a while, i imagine they would milk this one for a while.

  • Thanks, for a great Video, I have an numark iDJ, but I'm having some trouble with the video output. Was thinks on buying this iDJ. Have you had any video experience with it? I don't understand if your allowed to play the itunes format (AAC)with all the DJ features of iDJ2? Thanks.

  • nope- when you want to play video you loose all the dj features. :-( sorry- but you can use it to run video to a screen from the ipod.

  • does the idj have a bpm counter?

  • relatively, it analyzes the file including bpm in advance

  • yes

  • can you monitor a track??

  • yeah u can, both of them

  • Did that "All Music Converter" work effectively for you? I have 2000 songs from Itunes (unfortunately). Will I be able to convert them for use on the iDJ2?

  • This is the same question as bellow and the both deserve a complete answer. If you buy music from itunes you can NOT play them using the idj2 in direct mode (with all the dj functions) UNLESS you are buying itunes "plus" songs which do not have DRM. Apparently you CAN play all songs from itunes in IPOD direct mode which has NO dj functions and just plays the IPOD through the IDJ2.

  • well folks, here is the answer to a question that i could read quite often here.

CAN U USE TRACKS VOM ITUNES?

yesterday i mailes the numark support and i got mail only 2 hours later. wow!

they say: you can NOT use tracks vom itunes with drm as long as you are using the ipod in the usb-mode. thats because the idj2 "reads" the ipod as an harddrive and not as an ipod. so the tracks arent found. only real mp3s.

  • but there is also an ipod-mode. if you use this, you CAN play songs from itunes.

but i guess, in this mode you cant use the features like pitching, scratching and so on cause u are playing the track directly from the ipod as if you were using itunes.

  • sigh, why can't they develop something decent

  • thats cool how much?

  • thats insane i love it

  • thanks!

  • hey i enjoyed the video and is there any issue with playing songs from itunes because i heard that there was something that would disable you to mix songs from itunes

  • yes, you can not mix songs purchased from the itunes music store UNLESS they are Itunes PLUS.

  • eangolden, it's me again, you help me big time. But I actually realized that what I need is a machine BEATS, or something to make beats I don't really know much about this. I know for scratching you need a turntable. But what about actually making beats? Please send me a REPLY. Thanks in advance.

  • Look into something like FruityLoops by Image-Line or Reason from Propellerhead.

  • can u put it continuous play from ur ipod list or de hard disk?

if u put musics on creat and than he just plays from there passingo from music on to 2, and 3 continuosly.

not mixing...like if u are listening to the music from a normal cd?

    thanks, the product is nice.

    just bought it.

  • soseriously... 600 bucks, is it worth it if you wat to get into djing?
