Even though its an old one, nice. I liked the 3x palm mute parts, kinda reminds me of Ludlow Fall's The Great Whore song's picking. I liked the single note riff part too, I might do something like that if you don't mind. =] Got me a better amp finally by the way, a Marshall MG30CFX amp, nice and loud. Better than my other shitty Traynor amp I had. I will upload some new videos soon. =]

metalcore doesn't have to be a fashion, just because it was fashionized by the scene kids, well fuck them and their fashions, so many metalhead bashing hybrid styles too, i hate scene kid fashion vanity, and i hate the narrow mindedness of strict metalheads, both sides can bow down to progressive metal and alt metal, ha...

anyway, i think, just like how pop metal died in the 80s eventually, the fasion that is screamo and metalcore will only get better and more progressive now...

in the sense that fewer musicians are going to try to specifically please the crowd of the scene, no longer half-assed wannabes, we've seen this in all genres really, and now that the style has refined we see the real bands, some band stabbed even the scene in the back, betrayed even the scene, ha, ATR, atreyu, A7X, they are all betrayers of both the underground and the scene.

why do they want to sing more? i smell the word money, sell outs, they want money and pussy, traitors to metal...

then again, we have bands that just didn't want to do the same things over and over and made some career changing decisions for better or for worse, such as norma jean, and trivium.

NJ promise a different sound on each album, but obviously they started going in more mainstream direction with that ~sigh~

but i know their way of thinking well enough to figure this was not a sell out movement, more or less they wanted to stretch to a more enlightened sound, and they grew up on rock music btw...

as for Trivium, they started that band when they were like 13 years old, a lot of times people change, and that affect theirs music (cough:metallica), but then eventually sometimes people come full circle, or somewhat close (coughs again:metallica death magnetic rocks).

anyway, yes, the crusade was derogatory and boring, and no, ascendancy was not better than EtI, lol...

bottom line, Shogun mixing the metalness of the crusade and the heaviness of their old stuff was a great move that worked...

Thanks man! Yeah this is old generic crap...I'm not really into Metalcore that much anymore...it's getting really played out and old. Only Metalcore I really listen to and am inspired by now adays is August Burns Red because they're actually talented and technical Metalcore.

A breakdown is usually when a song is at a certain tempo but then the drums slow down and the guitar slows too with heavy palm muted notes (usually open notes) It's basically the part you can headbang like crazy to lol

This one is Drop B...I don't really use a tuner when I tune my guitar, I just tune by ear til it sounds good, so the strings might be a little flat or sharp in my recordings...but most of my videos are in Drop C, I just recently switched to Drop B in these newer ones though.

I've always loved triplets and palm mutes...since my Punk days haha, I think the Offsping got me into it believe it or not. I just kept doing them and got it down, just use a lot of wrist and even some forearm to for them. It takes some getting used to. And as for my band, we're still working on getting our shit together haha, so I think it might be a while before any deals of any sort happen haha =)
