With the spikes, Assign a movement. Example: Movement down down down down and then loop. Instead of assigning a sprite one at a time like a frame by frame animation.
Of course wait four frame or however many desired. Trust me it saves tons of trouble.
@Bruceforge Thats why I like RPG Maker as well - because theirs so many ways to do the same thing hehe. Also note that your way does go well but that will only run on events which you cant interact with, I cant use your way on an Item that can be picked up or for example to speak to the spike.....since thats already using the events as a move.....I think....
@CollapseDev Yeah, I use it for chests and different interactive events and of course just animated flames or whatever. Man, I haven't used this in a while, I think I might pick it back up once I am done with my finals that are coming up.
