  • Ahhh, Newton, sweet Newton.

  • i live in newton and go across those tracks everday. I swear to god every time i go to cross thow i get caught by a train.

  • OMG they fixed the crossings since last time I was there. I will be heading that way in a few weeks hopefully I will get some good shots.

  • either side of this damned track is the wrong side. build a a tunnel. i get sick of playing the newton race when i hear a train horn. sick of punching it down onto high street from main or hoping i can make it across broadway. screw it i'm moving the hell out of this God forsaken town. you can have it i dont want it.

  • I grew up in Newton on the wrong side of the tracks! Trains would occasionally make us late. Twenty five years later I love watching these videos! Thanks for taking the time. Akin

  • i saw that lead engine in your last clip in this video at joliet

PS: the bell sequence and the burnt out ditchligh reminded me of it

  • Just curious, if you love trains soo much have you ever tried to get a job there.

  • i love newton. the trains are awesome

  • Could you maybe railfan in Independence,Ks someday please?

  • Maybe if im ever down in that area I'll try and find some tracks.

  • I like to eat my lunch there at the depot and watch the trains. The bike path at the old mill is a good spot too.

  • next time I come up there we will have to meet up at the depot or something, I'm from Hutch

  • what is the difference between a Z train and a intermodal train?Good video!

  • Nice Chuck! Good amount of power on the first two.

  • BNSF 4077 W at 1:37, 5 engines --must be serious grades he has to tackle- hard to believe the bridge builders had the forethought to build bridges able to accomodate double stackers waay before their time

  • So did any of our law enforcement friends come visit you while you were there?

  • Uhh no

  • That's good to hear!

  • I would like to see a shot of the depot with a train from the sunny side of the tracks. with all those hoppers parked there i guess you would have to do it by the street crossing. what do they do with all those old looking hoppers? use them for a work train? You would need westbound trains in the early afternoon for the depot scene. those are harder to get there.

  • nice warbonnet

  • Nice shots, looks like a cool place to railfan!

  • Take a long look at that C40-8W in the H3 scheme. That will soon be the new paint of the WBs

  • He was heading back too Seattle with that aircraft railcar too pick up another 737 too bring back too Kansas.

  • those cars are actually going to the Boeing plant in Wichita to get another fuselage to take to Seattle

  • Except it's not Boeing anymore. It's Spirit Aerosystems which bought the Boeing Wichita Commercial Division in 2005.

  • i was just going off the manifest which is ordered to Boeing Corp/Wichita, KS

  • It looks like you had a great day railfanning. You got some really good footage!
