this makes me really consider leaving the perm alone. I see that when you allow your hair to grow naturallt without the chemical it grows... compared to the perm it only straigtens it but naturally the hair is much more beautiful without it.

Yes watching you RACK your hair is killing me, which is why you have so much hair coming out in your comb. If you saturated the hair more with leave in it you would have more slip and the comb would slide through. That wasnt nearly enough conditioner to protect from the head you're about to add. You're killing your hair slowly.
She cares abt her hair being healthy. Just cus she wear 16in weave doesn't mean she isn't happy w/ the length of her real hair. You can do more to weave than you can w/ your real hair w/o damaging it

@koolkidzism I can't even hate, her she KNOWS how to do her hair, but I feel like she's not taking care of it properly!! Your hair IS growing, it just breaks at the same rate or faster than it grows, which is what Ateya's hair does. Black hair NEEDS moisture and you have to seal in the moisture in order to retain length and you wouldn't have to trim as much. The only hair on my head is the hair I started growing 2 years ago and my hair is longer than Ateya's.

I have been relaxer free for two years!!! I had braids in the whole time and my hair grew so much!! Omg and its so healthy...I am NEVER getting another relaxer...so a month ago I quit the braids now I go to a Dominican salon and damn do they do a great job!! Did you use a heat protectant on your hair before blow-drying or straightening?
My hair is pretty much like that at a 3 month relaxer stretch...I am trying to stretch for 6mos.
I tend to detangle while in the shower after washing out the conditioner with cold water and my wide tooth comb will have no hair on it and my head will be completely detangled.
Your hair is beautiful..just be careful with that flat iron, chica <3 I've followed you throughout my hair journey and though I do not agree with your hair care methods, no matter what, your hair inspires me.
a got a suggestion. if you want to get all the tangles out. when your conditioning your hair in the water or shower. (thats where i do mine) comb it then. it wont be as big a deal later

Her hair looks great, however, she's using a fine-tooth comb to comb her hair out... big mistake. Regardless if her hair is thick, it's not good. Otherwise, her hair is great!. @koolkidzism I can't even hate, her she KNOWS how to do her hair, but I feel like she's not taking care of it properly!! Your hair IS growing, it just breaks at the same rate or faster than it grows, which is what Ateya's hair does. Black hair NEEDS moisture and you have to seal in the moisture in order to retain length and you wouldn't have to trim as much. The only hair on my head is the hair I started growing 2 years ago and my hair is longer than Ateya's.

ive been watching your videos for the past 2 years and it shocks me each time that your hair is in the condition it is in, u clearly arent knowledgable about black hair care, u hardly reatain any length, and ur extremely rough with your hair, and to be honest you should check out alot of videos of other women, it will help you alot as showing how badly you treat your hair, because if your hair was healthy by this time, it would have grown a siginificant amount. Aint haiting, just being trutful.

:-X wtf? Awful vid.. You shoul definitley consider taking it down. It suggest's that "natural" curly, thick black hair is impossible and unattractive.
You also used a ridiculous* amount of heat and to top it all off... there was a "dreadful" wig at the end?? Who told you that was cute?

I have been relaxer free for two years!!! I had braids in the whole time and my hair grew so much!! Omg and its so healthy...I am NEVER getting another relaxer...so a month ago I quit the braids now I go to a Dominican salon and damn do they do a great job!! I get a blow out and then they use a flat iron...I pay 50 every 2 weeks...I wud luv to save money and do it myself like Ateya but I do not have the patience lol my arms wud b hurtin lol I can barely wrap my hair let alone style it lmao

@juicylovee24 Because people try to politely give Ateeya very good advice i.e. combing hair from tip to root and using heat protectant and not soo much heat in general on the hair. But Ateeya does not care to even address some of her devoted subscribers concerns. I personally don't care, but I bet others would find it nice to get some kind of a response.

Did you use a heat protectant on your hair before blow-drying or straightening?
My hair is pretty much like that at a 3 month relaxer stretch...I am trying to stretch for 6mos.
I tend to detangle while in the shower after washing out the conditioner with cold water and my wide tooth comb will have no hair on it and my head will be completely detangled.

a got a suggestion. if you want to get all the tangles out. when your conditioning your hair in the water or shower. (thats where i do mine) comb it then. it wont be as big a deal later
