No idea why all the negatives, guess a lot of people here just go to Starbucks with theirs. Got an HP2, Husky 630 and 950 GO! (just bought) and I've done the same moves on my HP2. Bit easier with it, since I can spin on the cylinder heads but it looks tight there so still looks tough. Thx for sharing the video. Least you are riding it as intended.
Hey man, don't worry about the coments of some guys here. In a real adventure you have to assume some risks, and one of them is to fall. It's simple, stand up, take your bike and ride again. Hey, I almost forgot, this 990 adv is really heavy in that position.
Man this has happened to me so many times...try to pick this beast up..plus all the scratches on the paint and everything..Im havng second thoughts about dirt riding on a 14-15k euro bike like that.Anyways keep on riding :)

Lots of sympathy from a fellow biker with a f800gs that had to do that 20+ times, dropping the bike is part of the adventure , thanks for posting that .

Your effort showed clearly how much is needed to lift a bike of the kind.
If the dorsal spin is OK, apparently your looks fine, then there is no problem (YET?).
BUT people who suffer from problems in the base of the dorsal spin will suicide themselfs lifting up a heavy bike in the way you did it... hope never happens again
Man, I hate picking up my 950ADV! It's just one more incentive not to fall! Anyone who has to ask why you need 950cc in the woods has never ridden one of these fantastic machines. Can Proedge ride his 250 RingDing at 75mph on the expressway to get to the trailhead, moto all day and ride home? I don't think so!
Like I said .lol . I just mentioned the Harley because I figured that big stupid looking couche like motorcycles was your thing , Its not mine . If you know how to ride like a man you dont need something that big . I would love to see you try to keep up with 9 yr old cousin through the woods or on a track on his kTm 65 with that tank of a motorcycle . And yes unless we are going for land speed my "little KX " has got you covered . So at the end of a long day the jokes on you fella .
what would you possibly need 950cc for in the woods ? My kx250 2 smoke will go anywhere that bike would go AND I can pick my bike up without throwing my back out . thats just silly you might as well get a HD road king and put knobbys on it .
Then what's the challenge if you know for sure that your little KX can go there???
BTW I can pick my bike up too silly.... ;-)
And you can keep the HD, it's not a bike for me. Oh, maybe you should get one, you sound like you're right there in life. Don't forget the vest though... And don't put knobbys on it, you won't take it off the pavement anyway.

Go ride a bike in stead of NOT posting videos of your hard core style riding skills.
BTW looking at your coments to peoples videos, you are one sorry ass fellow with a lot of anger and nothing to bring. Keep your degrading comments to your self and go look at the sun and get better. You are not healthy!!
Man for what it's worth, try to get the right hand on the handlebar (always the lower) and the left on the rear pannier support bracket or frame to lift the bike, I hope you had it geared in 1st so that it didn't slide back.... Finally, it'd be a lot better if you dragged the bike inside the groove so that you'd be able (her being lower) to facilitate your mounting on the giraffe after she's up.....
Yep! I just sold my big DR650 for that same reason! And bought a YZ250 I can pick it up with one hand and be on my way..It's much quicker to!! I've learned a street bike is not a dirt bike...and a dirt bike is not a street bike!! Tell your wife you need both!!
stronger than I am. no way I could pick it up sideways like that where it was.

You could have it easier to pick up if you have turned with your back to the seat. Its more safety to your back. Keep going m8!!

Good pickup. This is a difficult skill to master and you can waste a bunch of energy doing it wrong.

Nice one mate, but why were you riding alone? Imagine a steeper hill or deeper hole and you wouldn't get the bike out. Keep up the offroading though!
