  • Thank you Rune, for sharing your talent here on Youtube.

I wonder what´ll come up in the new year.

From here (DK) i´ll wish you a marry christmas, and a happy new year 2012.

  • The Voyager ships make me feel proud of humanity. They are one of the best things we have made real of all our dreams. It's exciting to me that, after 34 years, they are still working and they can execute commands sent by the Earth control. Thank you!

  • very dreamy philosophic background music, well made!

  • Needs more Daft Punk.

  • I love this and the music is so out of this world...

  • 10 aliens dislikes this

  • VOYAGER 1

DISTANCE FROM EARTH 17,916,073,933 KM 119.76155710 AU

This video has been added to your Favourites.

  • Музыка очень красивая! Заслушался :-)

  • Voyager is doing a great thing 2 venture into the unknown,i wonder where the voyagers will reach in the next 34 yrs.

  • perfect song ;- )

  • Что за музыка? Кто играет? Какой композитор или группа?

  • Awesome

  • Stuff from better times... when life wasn't about Privacy Policies and Health & Safety, but getting stuff done.

  • For some reason, the music sounded familiar to me, even though this is the first time I have seen this video. Has it been used in any PC Games?

  • nice work bro

great musical tribute to our home made Voyager en route to nowhere

  • @SF49ersfanatic Nowhere?...or everywhere? *grins*

  • Thank you so much for keeping this type of music alive. I love all sorts of music, but the electronic genres are what resonate with me the most. Your Jarre and Vangelis influences can really be felt through the music.

  • We should build another voyager probe. See how fast we can make it now. Too bad the USA isnt spending billions anymore on cool stuff.

  • I believe that 1 of the Radio telescopes picked up a Unidenified Message in 1977, which the film CONTACT was based on, so what type of message / sign's have we put on the voyager so that other species would undersand, other than Hello.

  • @7071t6 Our DNA structure, our morphology, our location inside the galaxy and solar system, and a greeting message recorded by people from all over the world.

  • this is almost as sweet as Daft Punk's Voyager.

  • could someone have hid inside the voyager and gone along for the ride it would have been well cool journey - you could have just see everything from space

  • Wow ... this gem is available for anyone that YT searches for "Voyager". I'm ashamed I've only found it just now!

Very excellent work, rfoshaug. Added to favs! Lovely music too ... I'd buy the album.

  • oh and its `only` travelling 38000 miles an hour.

  • LOL it hasnt reached one light year yet. it will take 17,500 years.. and we can probe to one billion light years (a light year being 6 trillion miles. my head hurts.

  • The music reminds me the Cosmos series. Good video, greetings from Venezuela.

  • great music , one of the best i heard in my life !

  • If Carl Sagan would be alive I'm sure he will be delighted with the music you added to this video

  • I have been visiting this video fron time to time during the last two years. Is pure beauty SIr. Also your music. I really have admired all my life the honesty and noble ambition of the VOYAGER proyect, conceived by NASA and Carl Sagan. And you forced me to at the end, purchasing the Radias. I have wanted very badly a Radias since I listened your music a couple of years ago. Other demostrations of its sound finally convinced me. It sounds great in your hands

  • Awesome song man, very impressive :D

  • awesome music man! nice job!

  • Yesterday I asked my 8y daughter about her absolute favorite song and your music (Voyager) came up as No. 1 - well done, Rune. You are competing with Justin Beeber ;-)

After purchase of Voyager it was uploaded to our SONOS system and we can enjoy it in the living room :-)

  • My memories are with the two little spacecrafts, somewhere out there in deep space. =D Thx vor the video

  • Put on your headphones, close your eyes and take a trip away from realety. Thanks Rune, this tune is just so nice. A big thumps up for your creation....

  • Cooooool Video!! the music is GREAT!

  • Just seen the BBC update. Voyager will soon leave the solar system. It will be 40 thousand years before it will come into contact with another star........can't wait!

  • i'm still clinging to the hope that there are other living creatures somewhere beyond our galaxy......hope that voyager would discover something interesting in a few years. fingers crossed. :)

  • Great video. I would like the power of the reactor of the Voyager 1 does not end in 2025 and continue to transmit latest information beyond the solar system for many more years.

    Thanks for the video.

Que siga muchos años más la voyager 1 y 2

  • voyager 2 is the only space probe to ever visit uranus

  • @revrunnertech2772 and Neptune.

  • 150,000 views is a lot, but this video deserves a lot, lot more. I've been watching it for years now and keep coming back to it. The video and music combine to make you feel like you're been taken along on Voyager's journey. It's fantastic.

  • @BiffoGooner Thank you!!!!

  • colonization of the moon is a proposed establishment of permanent human communities on the moon. advocates of space exploration have seen settlement of the moon as a logical step of humanity beyond the earth."it may take endless wars and un bearable population pressure to force feed a technology to the point where it can cope with space. in the universe, space travel may be the normal birth pangs of an otherwise dying race. a test. some races pass, some fail' ROBERT HEINLEIN I WILL FEAR NO EVIL

  • awesome music dude!

  • i thought you were going to use Daft Punk - Voyager.. LOL.. anyways, nice music..

  • musics pretty good m8. It even has a 1970's feel to it which i like. i enjoyed it so much ive slapped it on me phone :)

  • there are some planets behind pluto and sedna(a planet which was detected by N.A.S.A when pluto was removed)

  • some astronaut said that there are more than 8 planets, there are many more planets in a space

  • COOL SONG!!!!!! :D

  • your music is superb and sounds like it was made exactly for this footage. greetings from budapest, hungary :)

  • this music always relaxes me love to smoke weed to it and watch the video one of the best youtube videos out there

  • Nice song , open my mind and fall in sleep

  • Imagine if our country placed an emphasis once again on the sciences and we had a round 2 at the Voyager Mission. With the technology we have today, the shots we'd get would be AMAZING.

Back in 5th grade... my teacher's images of the Voyager mission and learning about black holes was what got me into astrophysics.

  • Beautiful song.Thanks for share.

  • i wish i lived 600 years in the future it is truely amazing to think of the voyagers 1 and 2 maybe they will be pikd up years from now and be placed in a american history museum lol so cool

  • what's the music called.

  • @BR75069 The music is called Voyager and is composed by me. For high-quality audio of this and all my music visit my SoundClick page that you'll find in the video description and on my channel page. Thanks for watching. :-)

  • @rfoshaug great job buddy, congrats!

  • I can say for sure that I have listened to this music over 500 times ever since I stumbled up on it in summer of 2009. Great work! Two thumbs up to the composer(s)!

  • This episode of Voyager has a lot less aliens than usual. Ok! I remember learning about Voyager at school when I was 9. The music is Jean Michel Jarre meets Kraftwerk - this also takes me back to the 80's. Anyway magnificent - thank you.

  • Nice music, and very good synthesis of this amazing mission.

    A wonderfull journey for humanity

  • welcome at my voyager hidden planet translation system ( vide channel ) & 21 Zero Project

  • nice

  • Please imagine, when we can expect the launch as this? I think that never, before we chagne the mind...

  • Simply Beautiful. I want to fall asleep to this song. That is how relaxing it is. Great job.

  • Love the music. Very fitting for the video.

  • I like the animated footage that shows how Voyage 1 and 2 will make its approach that’s cut to the real footage of these giant planets in our neighbouring solar system that we’d never get to see up close. This is only possible way to send probes and I shows we are capable of incredible accomplishments.

The music is cut nicely to the video.

  • ♥ Liberty ☼

  • Congratulations on a wonderful piece! It made me feel that I was travelling along with the voyager! I keep seeing the video over and over again, mainly because of the music. You have real talent and I hope all the best to you. Keep it up!

  • This video/music are so beautiful.

  • This is really very nice song and clip, I like very much

  • Man! You're a genious! That music looks like the opening song of Carl Sagan's series, Cosmos (not at all).

Your one made me think how small we are, as well how its beaufiful the search for other kind of life in the deep space. Very well done!

  • Great song!

  • @4thuskare Thank you! :-)

  • really nice. What a big calculate is needed to reach to the planets orbit exactly on time!

  • Haha, never mind xD. It's digitally made xD.

  • @xSweetPopp hey, I have noticed your question about this one, well all of it is digitally created, even though the intro of the vid looks quite as if it was really original and sped up, there are only a few genuine original recordings, for example on "04:17" then on "03:03" and "03:19"

  • Okay, this may seem dumb. I am now studying for a test and it's about the universe. I just read about the Voyager 1 and 2 and went on to YT and got here.

This may seem stupid, but I was wondering if this is real footage of what the universe looks like or is it digitally made?

  • no one knows what will hapen if aliens received this information from voyager. will for me an invasion is possible to happen

  • This song and video always relax me i just love it

  • nice video, jarre is the best synhi player

  • @wuwu1210 Jean Michel Jarre WAS the best some 30 years ago!

  • Small? They were the size of a school bus :)

  • Tomita lives!!

  • It is strange that neither of them have travelled within the gravitation fields of any the planets to get drawn in, but it has still affected their trajectory ( without them being sucked in).. is this by chance?

  • Comment removed

  • @mrjaywilliams It is by design. You can see it each time the trajectory changes. Gravitational fields of other bodies were used to "slingshot" the Voyagers in the desired direction. "Free" energy, so to speak. We do not have the technology to go in a "straight" line with our present spacecraft, and must utilize every bit of advantage, such as gravity of other planets, the Sun, etc, to get where we want to go.

  • Woonderfull

  • Farewell Voyager. Someday you will reach another galaxy.

  • I guess at 2:40 those are volcanic eruptions or sulfur plumes on Io that have had lines drawn on the picture to highlight them and make them stand out better?

  • Massive Jupiter-Sized Dark Object May Lurk at Edge of Solar System

    Google it

  • "...Instruments of wonder on the frontier that forever recedes."

Rick Gore; National Geographic, July 1981, "Saturn, Riddles of the Rings"

    That describes VOYAGER...AND this song.

  • I wish somehow NASA would make all the Voyager video camera footage available to public.

  • one of the best electronic composition on YouTube

greetings from Sweden ! (66° latitude)

  • nice keep it up voyager

  • Incredible, that is some of the most beautiful electronic music I have ever heard. Sent chills down my spine, fits the video perfectly. Great work!

  • excellent!

  • really amazing video and music

  • This is classic and part of our history as mankind and not alot of appreciate this probe that was made, we wonder what is out there and thanks to Voyager we found many wonders its a shame alot of people don't know about Voyager. The music was perfect watching this, it made me sad because we will never see this craft and i wont be alive when it lands at some distant planet as the "beings" look at it and wonder about us and where it came from. Im so downloading the song :)

  • Good Job! Very Kitaro-like...

  • Wow...navagating those satelites through the asteroid belt must hav been a bitch...

  • @Daavoid Not realy. The asteroide belt is not even close to be as crowdy as science fiction or Donald Duck claims it to be. Most of the belt is actually a void. It is more difficult to navigate through the satellite belts surrounding our little spot in the universe than it is to navigate through the asteroid belts.

  • Great video!

  • wow! good job! love the music! did you make it yourself?

    thank you I enjoyed it!

  • like the music.. : )

  • oh shit, how can they aim voyage at the planets so precisely?

It is like aiming a single bullet such that it hit five persons in one shot.

  • @bbsonjohn Mathamatics. Seriously, the spacecraft was so precise that by the end of its journey it was only 11 miles off course and a few seconds late!

  • You've just inspired me to start making my own ambient music. :)

  • Why didnt Voyager actually show real camera footage?????

  • @MassTransit999 : Well. Analog film was of obvious reasons not even considered. Then, back in the eighties, digital camera technology was not even close to the resolutions and sensitivity as todays soon outclassed equipment is. Also sending 12MB files was not an option due to limited bandwidth. But, there is cameras on Voyager with an resolution of 800x800 pixels (linescan) and sensitive in blue to green area. Using filters etc. one can calculate an close to true representation of the reality.

  • the music is outstanding who wrote the score it is very 1980's i like very music way better than the tube, because with this music you can close your eyes and drift into deep space... nice.

  • @Tonystarkes888 Thank you, Tony!! I composed this piece of music. It has a vintage feel, but it was created in 2009. :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @rfoshaug i loved it i put it in my ipod you dont know how much this song is special to me... please make more like these or give me a link to already made ones.. :)

  • @amirsthebest12 Thank you!!! :o) I have made a "sequel" or whatever you'd call it. It's called Earthrise and you can find it here: watch?v=I21uOT_mdpM

It's not a direct copy of Voyager (with the same arpeggios etc.) but it is created in the same state of mind so to speak. :-)

  • @rfoshaug omg u are a legend man! your new video is deece!!! i loved these two tracks!!!! you've just done so many special things like giving people a reason to be happy and that is listening to these.... you represent what earth is and was and you show what great things god has created and things that we still will find out like new a new universe lol. They relax me aswell and bring me into a different world :). Thank You

  • @rfoshaug Really great music...

  • @rfoshaug definitely cool music, what was it composed on?

  • @rfoshaug As I said, i'm usualy not much into this kind of music, but in the last years I have often returned to this Video...just great. And I'll check out your Sequel :)

  • I've now created a "follow-up" video to this. While Voyager deals with the solar system and outer planets, the new piece deals with our own homeworld.

    It's called Voyager - Earthrise:

    watch?v=I21uOT_mdpM

  • I wonder if the "we never went to the Moon" crowd think this is faked too?

  • 100,000 views!! :o)

Thanks to all of you who give thumbs-up or comment on my videos!

  • oi, utrolig flott :)

  • @MrTomDoe Takk, mr. Tom. :o)

  • If only NASA have put a secondary power supply so the voyagers could continue to further interstellar mission.

  • Hi, where can i get this beatufull song?, thanks.

  • @hikaru86chile Thanks for your nice comment! :-) On my YouTube channel you can find a link to my SoundClick page where you'll find all of my music in better audio quality. :o)

  • I love this video. Thank for sharing :) , is my favorite.

  • Fantastic Work. I love Astronomical and Spacecraft Themes since my 12 Birthday.

And my biggest Love is Very good Synthie Music Today. In your Clip its all united.

    Very Awsome. :-)

  • Absolutely great music and visuals!

You must be proud of this.

    Sotiris (Synthscape)

  • awesome music!!

  • This animation was realized an the 80s, before the approximation of Neptune in 1989. Because of it, of Neptune scarcely it appears a little, only the cloudy bands that they believed that it would have, and his principal moon ,Triton, without his volcanoes of methane.

I love this song. Does someone know how it is called?

  • Space is amazing.

  • music is awesome !

  • They're still out there. Maybe someday they'll find something.

  • incredibly awesome

  • some1 knows from what distance the voyagers aren't able to transmit pictures to earth anymore?

  • Excellent. For those who wonder how we can still communicate with Voyager after 30+ years, it's because it is powered by nuclear power with no moving parts. That's right, NO MOVING PARTS. Now THAT is technology. Puts most of what we have today to shame and it was YEARS ago.

  • Well done on this piece of music.

  • As always mate - your music is awesome.

  • Hope to see the original full length video uploaded some time! I've spent hours trying to locate the original NASA Voyager full length video. You had it on a CD and edited it to 10 minutes... please upload it all! =)

  • Go little machines. And good luck.

  • i love this son is so beatufull,, may me relax .

  • I'm still dumbfounded how a signal can be received from such a great distance away the Earth.

    People, the truth is,

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

  • @aeroflying Planets are created from the protoplanetary disc of a new born star, and the bible says the Earth was created BEFORE the Sun, wait... what? I like how they already screwed up in the FIRST sentence of that book.

  • @BlackSunSerenade

The bible is truth. How is that screwed up? Read the second verse. It says, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. "

  • To imagine the simple electronics that went into these sattelites that still run to this day. I wish my modern TV would last that long.

  • Fascinating science and romance.

  • Excellent music, a good cross between accoustic and electronic (yes I know its all electronically produced).

And the video footage reminds me of Celestia if I'm honest... good work :o)

  • Great music!

  • Wow, love the music!

  • This brought tears to my eyes. So well done.

  • this is fast fovarded by like a milion times...

  • @rfoshaug

Yea, i failed to find out the settings for the oscillators you used at 3:56 those notes who gradually lose resonance and none of my settings worked lol i try find out

  • i made a cover for the song, i will post it soon

  • excellent music.5*****

  • ddd

  • i love music like these... any more music exactly like these? or what is this type of musics genre called?

  • @rfoshaug apparently its being kept under wraps and the mainstream news isnt talking much about it, but some german scientists say that the craft is sending back messages, they say it could be corrupted data but its the photos that the craft have taken that shakes the story

  • I'm fascinated that a signal can be received on Earth from such a distance.

  • Ah... the music! Went down memory lane to Tangerine Dream, Tim Blake, Symbols and a few more. Thx. :)

  • you all hear about how it's sending back messages that no one can decode??!

  • @volcomzz93 I have, I heard the audio.

It sounded almost like something underwater.

  • @volcomzz93 They've fixed it now, it was something to do with the memory changing from a 0 to a 1 or something. Takes them 13 hours to send signals to voyager and another 13 to receive them.
