the king has man o wars in the origional. you could get a couple from your euro supporters after the final war starts, but that was dependent on your own power and position. fighting off the the king in the orig was a pretty simple proposition, he only attacked ports, so you could build up with only one port, then use your army to pick at them from behind while they try to lay siege/attack your port city. and you had the advantage when attacking from anything but a city square
this punk is funny "The year of our lord".. This is the Americas.. fuck kings and queens.. long live freedom from monarchy.. although we don't live quite free enyways.. we should have a revolution again but against the current regimes whom taken after the lame monarchy and take us all (the working class) as thei're subjects..
In the original game there was a "Foreign intervention force" who would come to my aid during the revolution. Is there such a thing in this newer version?
@shadowofadoubt95 - It tells you this in the Civpedia (I think). You need to train (or purchase) suitable units (like a master carpenter) and assign them to the lumber yard. They'll produce more lumber and hence your buildings will build faster...
@shadowofadoubt95 Civ 4 col.. is fun but fucking anoying.. I know what you mean by waiting so long to build something.. If you don't have food, it takes longer for something to be built, and if you don't have lumber it wil take longer as well. The worst is that you don't get enough time to get your revolution going.. you only have about 130 turns before you lose.. Just have fun and try to find out how to win.. Sorry I could not be much help but I do sympathize with you..
@S0nicH do you actually control units in battle like in the total war games or do you seriously only see the actions of them shooting at eachother like I see in the video?
@S0nicH hahaha. you dont live in america right? but you do know jon stewart? he is a host of a show that puts a twist on news here in america. john oliver is one of his fake reporters. and once again, very very nice review.
Great review, looks like a good game but I personally prefer the wider scope of civilization of taking a CIV from cavemen to a futuristic civilization.
Great review. I loved the origional game.

How do you train troops and make buildings build faster? I don't wanna spend 100 turns waiting for a frickin' armory!

@jj9345 - You tell them where to move etc, but when they're fighting, it's all done automatically.

@loui4125 - Yes, but only for short periods of time. Shogun was pretty good, but I didn't get very far into it.
