i live in the faroe isalnds an the people here love killing whales, its actally a sport to them, in fact it is the national sport kinda. And i dont like it /:

@canihazmehcookienao the hook we use now has a rubber ball on its edge so we can place it in the blowhole wihout the animal feeling any pain, the cut to soine makes the whale faint becuase the blood rushes from its brain so quckly, some seconds later its dead, drunks and kids do not knife and beat the whale, kids can play with it when its dead

In the summer of 2010, the founder of the organizations WDSF and ProWal , along with all their signatories, personally hand over the petition to the Government of the Faroe Islands in the capital of Thorshavn.
Another tradition that needs to be stopped immediately. It's cruel and senseless. The meat is contaminated and probably does the islanders more harm than good; not that they need it anyway.
