Saw Martin a lot both on his own and with Dave Swarbrick around the late 80s. This track a Carthy rewrite and reimagine of I think a 17th Century song just seemed so alive and edgy. Rather like with Chris Wood who wrote The Grand Correction during a soundcheck before a gig I saw in Milton Keynes, there was a sense of Folk Music being written
