I've done something similar on Dustbowl. There were so many heavies taunting, that the server couldn't keep up. You'd press the taunt key, and it would be 3 to 5 seconds before the taunt begins. It was still awesome.

No, that's not true. The new update to the 360 let you edit the number of each class you want to be in your server for each team, it lets you edit if you want crits or not, and it lets you edit if you want splash damage or not. Plus, you still can mod.

valve doesnt wanna charge people for updates but microsoft refuses to let that slide especially on their consoles, so valve just doesnt update for console, simple as that.

First of all microsoft only has one console and that is the xbox360!! Second they agreed on having the updates only for the xbox360, because there is not a big tf2 community on the PS3. Third of all they also agreed on it costing money or MS points, so microsoft makes a profit and so does valve. Fourth is that they have not announced when the updates are coming out because they are not 100% sure that they can fit the big update in one small piece of memory they have left in the orange box.

I think that Valve said that they were going to update for Xbox360, not sure about the PS3. However, since Microsoft doesn't want free updates as you said, Valve is releasing them all togeather to make it overall cheaper. I cannot confirm if this is true however.
