  • 3 people want his hair

  • he looks like Napoleon Dynamite!!!!! lol

  • I can play this song in my sleep. you guys just read the worlds biggest lie.

  • such wierd faces....

  • is he really playing all four strings?

  • @MDbam No. he's doing very, very fast string crossings. At some points he is playing on three strings simultaneously

  • Triple strings : wow !! I found that one more accessible(easier) : using chords like on a guitar touch !

  • He's not just a wonderful violinist , but Christ , he is hot!! :Q

  • Shlomo Mintz is such an outstanding musician. His handling of this little etude is fresh & unique. The 14th is one that Perlman once dug his bow into while appearing on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He made it look easy with his big, powerful hands. Musically speaking, however, I prefer this rendition. It does, in fact, resemble trumpets.

  • Beautiful playing. On a more superficial note, his face jiggles more than it should :D

  • Very very good. Reverb and echo are good too. Greetings Stepan ^^

  • :) Hermoso

  • violabrian they are bugles....sigh...violists...

  • kill thah Juw!

  • love the horns that materialize on the side of the screen!

  • that was the most intense minute and thirty seconds of my life. Amazing bow technique and expression!

  • lol at the horns on the side of the screen

  • damn, im gonna play more legato, I can't do as good spiccato in this caprice as this guy :<

  • he looks stupid but he plays well..

  • you look stupid.

  • i don't mean to badmouth him don't be silly:(

  • @omarov3penguin this

  • g8t caprice. but srsly, wats wiv all da horns...

  • this caprice is supposed to be imitating a trumpet/horn fanfare just as number 9 is supposed to imitate the calling of the hunt with flutes and horns.

  • It's funny when he opens his eyes really wide after making them all squinty= - - then OO

  • ONE horn...TWO horns...THREE horns...FOUR horns...VLAHHH

  • it was the 80s, give them a break

  • Man his hair is just amazing.

  • so true!

  • Good. I like more Mr. Markov

  • Wonderful. I go to alot of concerts where this is played like a Chainsaw Massacre. Fantastic!

  • Hahaha,very good !!!

  • That was very well done.

  • I love how graceful and elegantly he plays this. So many performers try to be very dramatic and create a hack-festival. This is very refined.

  • i love how there are 4 horns but you're actually playing 3 strings xP

  • haha i meant the first time the horns make their appearance... the second time the horns appear he really is playing 4 strings x) goodness this is so corny...

  • hahah i love that - one string played, one horn on screen, two strings, two honrs, THREE STRINGS, THREE HORNS, FOUR STRINGS, FOUR HORNS OOOOOOOOOOO MANNNN hehe schlomo has blown me away these caprices tho x)

  • He's amazing... but I just love the trumpets that theyre pasting in sometimes, thats whats making life worth living :P
