Resident Evil 4 - Screwing with the El Gigante Glitch

The gamecube version of RE4 made Leon faster than the PS2 version for some reason...

I think that if you put "El gigante" in Resident Evil 1, it would be impossible to beat it, but if you put the tyrant in Resident 4, it would be one of the first mini-bosses in the games

@maxchamullento The video is about what happens when you play with the striker glitch in that area. If you equip the striker shotgun then go to the weapon menu again right away and select a new weapon, you can run 1.5 times faster. It lasts until an enemy hits you or you open a door or see a cutscene. That's how he climbs up the stairs faster and slides outside of the level

You trigger a glitch that makes Leon run faster by equipping the striker, then immediately switching to another gun. Once you do that, climb the ladder, and you go down faster than the zip line, as you see in the video. That glitches the game further and allows you to go out of the level.

What in your opinion, is the best Res evil? I played one and two for PS1 but that's about it. This one looks really good, the game cube can really surprise me, like Rouge Squadron looked amazing, better than any wii graphics I've seen so far (I know they play on the same machine, but still).

This is my favorite one but it's a departure in gameplay (better to me) and it doesn't have "Real" zombies so a lot of fans hate on it, the "it's different" angle, like Metallica fans that hate Load for not being thrash - and the photos in the booklet, you know.

That said, it still gained tremendous critical success overall.

I think the RE1 remake was made for Gamecube. I've not yet played it, but I've seen it - big graphical upgrade. I'm not sure if it plays any differently!

Using the ditman glitch which makes him run a bit faster, when you go up onto the ladder and slide down, you end up going outside of the stage - as you see at the end. You can do that to completely go around the giants, but if you go back, you end up in the room with them waiting as in the beginning of the video

Run right to the room, stop at the door before he can see you, then just walk up to him

how do you activate this?

You first have to use a glitch called "ditman glitch", as it was discovered by someone with the ditman handle. To do that, you equip your Striker shot gun, and aim to fire. Right after you aim, almost immediately (you can see me do this in the video after the giant and I end up back in the room) go to your attache case and get another weapon.

If you've time it right - you'll be running/walking 1.5 times faster. That effects how fast you go up ladders, and swing down when you're able to, as you see I end up swinging down way faster than the game is set to. That makes me go outside of the actual stage, and from there you can end up getting into the next area. If you do that without killing the giants - and then go back into that room - this video shows what happens
