I Like My Reason A Lot . but that's pretty Crap compared to routing Reason into FL Studio and use "Wave Candy" which has Oscilloscope , spectrum , Meter & Vector Scope ...
How Ever i Under Stand Wave Candy nor FL 9 was even out when u made this video .
Good Stuff im checking out part 2 of your Vid Next
I think im too stupid to relize this tut, well ok i see that visual yellow light eq flash goin on and i even hear gentle changes, but i want to put some more noise, how do i do that?
wow, that is such a rad trick. I always wondered why they didn't include that type of display in the mixer. best tutorial videos Ive seen came from you. thanks.
what the video again..you will notice that you final audio output does not go thru the vocoders, thats why you use the audio merger splitter..so you can share the signal and give the vocoders some action as well :) hope this helps.
yeah i was following this to the t and was like " why the hell does it sound the same?" (duh!!!!!!!!) i finally realised after watching and copying not the first time not the second but three times! despite your comment at the end of the vid- its just a visual equaliser. thanks all the same :)
keep em coming...very much appreciated, there is so much to this program, great to see little things people have worked out. How did you actually record the video?
Thanks for being so detailed and clear in your tips, very good tutorial on a useful technique. I found this to be a very helpful tip actually, I really like to be able to see the sound in the EQ. Peace out dude.
When I create music and I am mastering...tend to prefer to use a visual medium as well as my own ears to make my final piece of music sound the way I like. I you are familiar with analyzing sound frequencies in music, Then you would find this useful. If not and you just do all your mastering by ear alone...then this would not interest you.Analizing sound comes in many forms..visual,physical, aural,mathmatical...etc.. hoep this helps :)
Can you explain how to use reason to set up a vibrating effect on a insturment sample? Its difficult to discribe what Im talking about but it is a very common thing in Techno.
I think u can do this with the red button near the play button - while this button is activated you can change effects live - so you can use the variable functions to do your vibrating effect... i hope this will help u
I program them myself mostly..using a vast library of drum sounds..If I ever use drum loops I usually alter them to the point of ridiculousness so they don't sound like the original drum loop anymore. Its more fun to create from nothing!! I say. Thanks for the question!! :)

Dude....nice!
Awesome little trick here. Totally cool. Again, it doesnt color your sound right? Its only so you can visualize the freq. spectrum correct?
Well done!

Nice vid. Very useful tool I reckon. I just put it in with one of my tracks and saw how my obsession with bass has overshadowed my mixing!!

There is a problem when you add the vocoders, they change the sound, how do you fix it, and keep the sound clean with that type of setup ?

using vocoders as EQ's and graphic representers of the music...
Its real cool though!
I might start using that in my every reason project now!
