  • a couple decades ago, in usa, a friend had a renault 5 which gave trouble...somehow I had to idea to twist a fuse around and voila, that did it...but in 97, in Finland we had a renault megane, some name like that, avid didn't tell us how to start the thing...after visiting with Swedish speaking Finn friends, I could not get the car to start...he read the book (Swedish lang) and learned that one had to turn the key and wait for a red light...curious but that solved that :)

  • My father only ever drove Peaugeot.. :)

  • we had a 75 peugot 504...fantastic comfort but the dealers seemed to want toe french to make american cars :)

  • Fixed! I find out solution on renaultforums. Article Renault Scenic II - Access the resistor pack in 5 mins. Resistor was not soldered. 1000 euros is too much. Many people have this problem on their scenics 04/05/y.

  • I no longer own the car but maybe you could mail me the link I'm still interested, want to tell my mechanic about it. ratatosk at hot mail [.] com.

  • hello! ...can you pleas give me link or some idication where this resistor is...

  • did you resolve this problem? I have the sam issue on my car...

  • Well, sort of. I had it replaced and the price tag was scary... :(

    ~ €1000

  • Fixed! I fond out solution on renaultforums. Search article: " access the resistor pack". Resistor is problem. I find out that one side was not soldered good.

  • you probably need to replace main connector on instrument table. There is two connectors. Its easy to remove. You need a scew driver and set of torx. When you remove plastics, you will these connector. Its one on the left side. You need to solder it or replace it. This fix cost 50euros.
