A little more desolate looking than in the movie "Vertical Limit", LOL :-)

My personal limit so far is 18 000 feet in Bolivia, which is roughly the height of K2's and Everest's Base Camps.

@andrea8it: we were a group of 6 people of a trekking tot Concordia and K2 base camp. There were a couple expeditions going on at that time and I think we passed the Italian base camp.

I asked because I see a documentary on the Italian expedition of July-August, where an Italian died....and others with him during the ascent & the descent. A beatiful dossier with a tragic end (but the italians were successufully and they arrived on the top).
