I backed him when he won in this clip, at 50/1. To be honest I thought 50/1 was way overpriced at the time and thought he might have been placed. The win was a bonus. Then went to that year's Grand National and totally missed him running in the race before until it was too late. :(
@TheNeil62 I was in a pub in Paddington on Grand National day and a little old guy had a fiver on him. He was leaping around like a Russian gymnast as Beech Road crossed the line. I was as chuffed for him as I was for myself.
I stood in a bookies in Barnstaple, Devon cheering Beech Road on after backing him at 50/1. One of only three 50/1 shots I've backed, nice ...

They all thought this was a fluke. I got Beech Road at 16/1 for the Aintree Hurdle and he bolted in.
