It's a big challenge. I don't have a great singing voice or range at all, I just "do it anyway" because I really want to. But I would start with Andrea James' voice method (google her name), and possibly work with a singing coach if needed.

If you can already sing in a nice tenor or above, you'll be golden. If you sing lower now, it will require some dedication and hard work, but it's possible.
