With all due respect...there are nearly 200 breeds of Dog in the world (not including the millions of Cross breeds)

In the UK.. four breeds are banned under the dangerous Dog Act.

Getting one of the 196 other ones might be a good idea?

i know this may seem abit harsh, but untill you have been attacked by a dog while the owner was there and they could do nothing to stop it then you may think differant.

people have no problem taking a test when they want to drive there should be no differance when you git a dog , i also belive that any good dog owner would welcome somthing like this to sort out our problems today as alot of the people i see with this sort of dog should in no way have one

@liqwon115 My brother was nearly bit int he face by a GSD, and we now own 2. No there should NOT be a test. There are people who take the driving test and are horrible drivers.

i think there should be a no non-sence approch put in place where all dog owners should be made to prove they can control the dog or breed they chose to have. they should make owner go to a test center sorta like when you take a driving test unless you can show control over your dog and a general knowlage of the breed and its needs if you cant pass this or dont go to the test you should not be aloud to keep a dog at all anyone without the licence should have there dogs taken away.

i dislike it as much as the next person but the problems are gitting worse not better .. i see more and more fighting breeds of dogs on the street nowdays then i have ever seen before.. most of them with young kids or teenagers that cant control them when walking let alone anything else..alot of the time these dogs are pulling on the lead trying to git to another dog they see , growling or barking, scaring people these dogs should not be avaliable to all owners.

The way I look at it is people say it is the what the does owner is the reason this breed does what it does.. Well it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the bunch, so I guess we do the same thing we have done with guns, atvs, and all the ohter things people love and enjoy.. Put laws controling it and make sure the assholes who cant raise them right dont get them..

Besides, some irresponsible owners could care less about their dogs. Take it away, and they don't care.

Whatever the dog does, they should be held responsible for. If the dog kills, than the owner's charged with manslaughter, If it bites, the owner's charged with assault, etc.

@Schweaver I did the same thing. I gave a BSL persuasion speech this past December and I had the whole class asking questions. I felt like I had made a small change or at least shed some light on the subject.

thanks. its something i strongly believe in. i only wish i had more time and money to devote to the cause. i suppose this video might open someone's eyes. but i wish there was more being done about this. i don't even hear much about it anymore. it needs to be publicized more so that people are aware of it. i know in my area there are many many people with targeted breeds of dogs. i know they wouldn't want anything to happen to their pets.

All I know Is that I would die for my dogs, and If anybody tries to take them away, That person is going to die, cop or not (well, FIRST I'd hide my dogs with a friend). Before you call me crazy, consider that dogs have been doing that for us for centuries. Sacrificing their lives for us. That's how it started in communist russia... Stalin killed dogs because they were "Consuming all of the food when other people were starving", and he expanded this brutal regime to PEOPLE who disagreed with him... They were "A threat to the Soviet Union"... If we don't stop BSL NOW, they will expand it to people. Right now, Small dogs (Chihuahuas) Aren't usually taken away from biting, but instead of expanding these BRUTAL laws to small dogs, get rid of the law altogether!

we must NOT let BSL expand to chihuahuas. NO dog should be put down for biting. That should be the owner's choice. We must talk to our senators and raise public awareness of these laws. (Work WITH the government, not against it.)

lol a bunch of chihuahuas attacked a cop and put him in the hospital with bite wounds. Fortunately, none of the dogs were destroyed. They were quarantined for a few days at the house. That's how it should be with ALL dogs, regardless of size. In fact, I've had more trouble with HUMANS than dogs...
