Personally I really hope that she is emotionally well -artistically though, her stuff stirs the most when something is not quite right; the muse seems to be more present for her then.

Yes. That's normal for the ZDF. Even in the saturday night evening shows they use playback... there was one occasion when they had Britney Spears there and the playback didn't work.... very embarassing for all of them. But they continue to use it. Don't know why.

I really doubt she is lip syncing, if you listen its noticeable that this is being sung live. You can tell by the differences in detail from the original; she is just playing to a backing track like she does for Caught A Lite Sneeze sometimes and other girls. Tori has always held a very strong stance on playing live, the live experience. Not that I would give her flack for it lol. Anyway, she looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING HERE. Gorgeous Ivy.

I think she sounds great and does a great job considering she's probably in the most awkward and uncomfortable performance venue of all time. Playing on the back of a moving truck would be more conducive to a good show than that cafeteria.

why are you guys complaining about her voice? it seems ok to me. I think the awkwardness comes from the pre-recorded tape, which is kinda common on TV shows like that.

Yeah that was pretty bad, but you have to remember just a week ago she had food poisoning and had to cancel the Savoy show in London.

Gosh, poor Tori! I'm still undecided on whether the performance was pre-taped, but if it's true, what a travesty to Tori! I mean, what are they afraid of? She's an experienced performer and a big girl, she can handle it LIVE!

Perhaps they were too lazy to soundcheck. In that case, well they get what they worked for! It looked really awkward and ruined what would've been perfect if she'd done it live. And they even cut her off at the end! What a way to eff things up!

Tori looks delicious and her German is impeccable but this is a good example of how important her audience is to her to. She can't perform for a bunch of old people and families who have wtf looks on their faces and are mostly sitting behind her. And what is that place, a mall? And she wasn't playing a Bose.

German TV shows have a strong preference for pre-recorded performances. she may not have been able to go on the show at all if she had insisted on playing live. Yes the result is awkward but I think it's ok for that type of show.
