  • why?????????????????????????

  • @papapo50 To make way for the new Marlins baseball stadium.

  • Imagine how much money they made off all that metal

  • fuck donna shalala!

  • i lived right in front of it my adress was 330 nw 16 ave apt 21 bt i moved and it broke my heart to see it be demolished like that

  • This was a very sad day for the UM Swagger

  • thats retarded. the whole reason they are making a new ballpark there is because in a lot of the seats at landshark stadum you cant see the Marlins games from. 1,000 dont even come there a game and they never make the playoffs. bull shit tearing down the orange bowl stadum..

  • There is no just god, I mean the OB & Yankee Stadium both no longer in use/gone. Two of the more historical stadiums in the United States.

  • R.I.P to where I saw my first Football Game Ever (Miami 34, Florida State 20, 1994) and that place where I fell in love with Hurricane FB.

  • :(..

  • Why was this stadium torn down? The Orange Bowl was on the National Register of Historic Places...

  • new ballpark going in for marlins

  • A new ballpark going in for a losing team that can't even draw 1,000 fans at their current ballpark (which doubles as the current home of the Orange Bowl Game.)

  • your a dumbass

  • God Bless that stadium and curse the fkn Marlins for taking the site for their stadium. Long live the OB and the memories and GO CANES!

  • plenty of memories in that place....RIP OB

  • FSU fans can go straight TO HELL Gator fans can KISS MY HURRICANE ASS

  • goodbye to great historic stadium

  • Greeting from FSU in Tallahassee! As a Seminole student and a South Florida native (West Palm Beach), I'm sad to see the Orange Bowl go! Honestly, it represented the city of Miami well. I mean It's old, ugly and queer!!! Kiss ass UM fans, you'll never see the ray of light again!!! May God bless the Orange Bowl!!!

  • god quit talking trash

    i wonder why its old

pretty soon there gonna tear down the choak

  • At least they didn't demolished it brutally with explosives like the old Bobbie Maduro baseball Stadium. It could have been less emotionally painful painful but more controversial if they had done it that way.

  • Damn. rip OB

  • damn dude... they just pick it apart like a jinga wall?

  • being a huge canes fan, it is tough to see this being torn down. but looking at the big picture, the trustees and the university are the ones that decided to move the team. i dont see why anyone can be mad at the marlins. miami had already decided to move prior to the marlins getting a deal for a new stadium. the canes will be back on top eventually. support the marlins, they have talent, GO FISH

  • And here's the irony: The Orange Bowl was used for baseball up to the 1950's, and was the site of the 1990 and 1991 Caribbean Series (huge DR/PR/VEN/MEX winter league championship).

It brings the site back to its roots.

  • Husker fan here. Miami never appreciated what they had. I will NEVER think of the Orange Bowl as a game played at Dolphins Stadium. For me, it's about that little old rickety stadium.

Quite simply, it was a stadium where legends were born. Where Namath made and carried out his guarantee. 1984 Orange Bowl that sparked the Canes' run of the 80s. Flutie's Hail Mary. The Miami/FSU rivalry and all those wide rights. And the 1995 Orange Bowl, where NU reversed its curse against Miami.

  • WORD!

  • i'm not from there but us nebraska fans say around here the orange bowl is the best to be at a bowl game some says it wasnt the same orange bowl when they move it to dolphins staduim its sad how they would take the history of the game down like that as a fan i'm this had to happen screw the rich folks down there

  • How pathetic, a college football shrine, and an NFL history maker. So many good games happened there, Super Bowl 3, Epic in Miami, Hail Mary, 83 Orange bowl game. This is all Donna Shalalas fault, screw that bitch!!!

  • agreed

  • i live in back of the o.b and i swear i will always hate the marlins cuz the o.b is a landmark and it shouldnt be terd down liek that it holds so many memories

  • what a place. my dad told me a story about my first time using the urinal. he told me everyone backed off and let me do what i do. they may be taking it down, but the o.b. lives forever.

  • this is where my dad would take me in 1975 to learn to drive(Just like everyone did till at least 80's). This demo is taking too long sad to see a slow painful death. The OB has a chapter in my first novel. Never knew it would come to this. All for a generic and sterile bulding that no one will go to. Might as well built for the Miami Fusion. And I wanted to play pro soccer. In Miami if its not football here it wont draw. Wont surprise me if the fins dont sell out one game

  • I live a mile from the Orange bowl. This saddens me. One less Landmark in a city that doesnt appreciate history. One more victim of porposeful neglect. Did not have to happen. The city said no to the marlins new stadium. The OB is set to be demolished. Now they all of a sudden have the money to build a stadium for millionaires and a product that cant draw flies. Another taxpayer atrocity
