  • So fucking good, reminds me of junior high!!!

  • Their music hasn't aged a bit.

  • this band has influenced so many other ones, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age and it only has 23,000 views. sad.

  • @completeaddiction more than an influence on PJ, two members founded PJ.

  • I haven't heard Green River before. I love it. Yes, I have been under a rock.

  • Haha, can you imagine "GreenRiverVEVO"?

  • @doctorsensual77 You did not just fucking say that. Did you really just fucking say that?

  • @HardcoreGamer4Ever Haha, take it easy dawg, I didn't mean....

  • peanut butter jelly?

  • But yea PJ also kicks ass!

  • this is before any of these guys even thought of pearl jam, just saying to comment in here that PJ sucks on this post just makes you sound like an uncoultured interweb dousch bag, this is Green River, not PJ!

  • Don't ever underestimate Pearl Jam. When they were at their peak:

Pearl Jam - Leash (Pinkpop 92)

    watch?v=9wqtwCwlWNc

  • to say that you dont like Pearl Jam is one thing. Saying a band is overrated is a valid opinion as well. But, to say pearl jam sucks makes no sense. You could hate their music, but saying it sucks implies that its either irrelevnt, easily duplicated, un-influential, and lacking of any talent. Pearl Jam is none of thise things. Im not a big fan, I im smart enough to know the difference between sucking, and not liking something.

  • Yeah, Pearl Jam is total crap and always will be. ALWAYS.

Sorry you losers can't accept the truth.

They were the Coldplay of the 90's. Nobody in they're right mind would consider them to be relevant these days.

    Bring it you crybabies.

  • @pavlovdogs2 I love Pearl Jam.

  • @pavlovdogs2 It's funny, how you say that they are crap. How do you define ''crap''?

  • OK, before anyone goes any further, Pearl Jam is fucking awesome, and I don't want to hear anything like the comments I've just seen ever again.

  • This is........ethereal.

  • sounds great

  • Green River begat Mother Love Bone and Mudhoney. Then MLB begat Pearl Jam. Out of all of the aforementioned, Pearl Jam is the only one that sucks (or started to suck after the third album). Green River was damned cool, and I've loved this song for 20 years.

  • @Bolinbabe Pearl Jam does not suck.

  • @HardcoreGamer4Ever pearl jam is fucking pig shit

  • @HardcoreGamer4Ever Oh, yeah, Pearl Jam sucks. It is like more alternative, younger Journey. A big shit.

  • Oh baby that's the sort of guitar sound that might make you quit your day job and just dance around the living room all day long. I mean 0:28 It orders you to listen!

  • lsd

  • Damn I've been waiting to find something like this forever.

  • The begining sounds like Time by Pink Floyd only better!

  • im 17 and a proud grunge rocker

  • @arnott360 and i salute you! keep it alive!!

  • @arnott360 same here bro, seniors in high school and still keepin it alive!

  • @arnott360 dude i am completely with you there. grunge is the best without fail!

  • the good old mark arm....love his scratchy voice =)

if every human had an good taste, this band wouldnt be so underated like nowadays....

  • To all those arguing the is no new talent, Queens of the Motherfucking Stone Age. People forget about those guys when they say there is no good music nowadays. Green River rocks

  • @agdgdgwngo QOTSA is the fuckin' shit ! but I'm pretty sure they're not alone...

  • @agdgdgwngo There's WAY more crap than there is good.

  • No good music anymore? no talent? seriously stop living under a rock or acting like old farts. Theres always good music around and really talented and creative people.

  • there may be good music now... but its not like the mainstream would ever find it for you. i dont think there will ever be another scene quite like this one where bands in one city just jammed for fun and found this groove to where they all sounded different but had the same feel. I mean now we have emo and hardcore as the "underground" but no one knows where it came from and theres no sense of brother hood.... and they suck...

  • @laynestaley1990

Not quite, Obviously theres never going to be that particular scene, but there are similar music scenes where they shared what you described, I've toured with a couple of bands from different genres, Hardcore and post-hardcore included. Theres a lot of artists from the Seattle scene that also listened to hardcore btw. I know theres such a thing as preferences too.

  • @turydragon well, you have it wrong.. "hardcore" as we know it now is not how it was in the 1980's... now you have to inhale scream and put a break down in every song... hardcore in the 80's was pure underground punk... hardcore today is nowhere near punk... its almost like they try to play metal but they cant because they suck. also, negative chords.... they used to be useful... now i will never ever ever ever use one... ever.

  • @laynestaley1990 What do you mean by negative chords?

  • @turydragon Fact! Some people are dull as fuck.

  • drums at the beginning sound a bit like good enough by mudhoney. this songs way better, though.

  • @LutherStorms Pearl Jam sucks

  • @StarInvasion no, it sounds more like even flow

  • helll yeahhh

  • At the beginning of time God created Green River, and grunge was born. They had several children, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden .....

  • @negative94creep They had a grossely deformed but charming child named TAD too ;)

  • One of the reasons I learened to play the guitar, and give a shit in what other people said and meant was "proper".

  • Who the F U C K thumbed down this song?

  • I remember me. I was 18 in 1989 !!!

  • @clickcasper

I'm actually insanely jealous of you right now.. I'm 19 now.. what a poor time to be alive

  • @venusasaboy1991 yeah i know there is no cool music coming out right now somebody needs to fucking crack the mold already and get on with it. the "underground" of today is just this emo/christian deathcore/indie bullshit . a band with some real ideas needs to come to the top and start making all the trendy people look like huge fags

  • @alifeofarcticsounds Most recent band I like is Audioslave, and Chickenfoot are pretty cool too. Problem is, these are supergroups, the muscians in bands like these are very talented still but made their fame 2 or 3 decades ago. So you and venusasaboy1991 are absolutely right, there is no fresh, raw talent out there.

  • @venusasaboy1991 yea i know

  • Great song! tnx for uploading!

  • good enough drum intro?

  • The intro sounds very Sabbath influenced. Fuckin great.

  • miles ahead of their time - feel like they deserved more for their efforts but it's kind of nice that only a few know about them. quality, original music, lovely jubly!

  • Why doesn't music sound this good anymore?

  • Because music today goes through the mainstream wash about six times, and when it comes out, you don't get the nice raw sound of the 80's and 90's

  • That was a rhetorical question but thanks.

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod your right there....

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod because we are in a world of sell outs to reach out to the younger generation with no sense of music style and people who don't appreciate this kind of music style really and this is very unfortunate.

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod

cuz the artists today are a bunch of emo fags

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod Maybe your deaf? Music sounds good.

  • Thats such a fuckin great song...=)

    love it

  • q regresen esas guitarras.... ese soniidoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i much prefer the cameron vegas song the hanging tree
