Now if I remember, sometime in the early 80's the "Get Cracking" egg advertising used a well known Canadian olympic medal winning swimmer (whose name I forgot). I do remember it had an impact on many of the young kids because we knewof the athlete and he was looked up to.
Can anyone remember his name? I'm stumped. It may have been Alec or Alex.
@Canadiantalentshines .....yep that was Alex Baumann..he was in."Get Cracking" ads up to around 1989 or so...punch in Eggs Get Cracking Alex Baumann on search and one his 89 ads will come up..i havn't been able to any others though

I read that it was in 1976 that the "Get Cracking" slogan was first used... that would explain why Grossmobile has a commercial from 1978...
