This was a 2nd string All Black team. John Mitchell left most of the starting team at home to build depth for the RWC in 2003 so this was an experimental side. The better result for England, during this period, was in 2003 when they beat the All Blacks at home. They did this even after being reduced to 13 men at one point. Mitchell eventually had the ABs humming in 2003 (two amazing tri-nation cricket scores) but we never recovered from losing Umaga during the RWC.

Jonathan Davies was a good attacking player who could play every position in the backline, especially fullback. Jonny Wilkinson is somebody who's main attribute kick a ball between two white sticks.
