Just my opinion, As to Dedorah Harry going solo I do not think she cared to much about being a huge hit. I remember in one of her interviews; that she just enjoyed making music. I happen to have all her solo albums, and think that she should have been a big hit just as Blondie was and still it
I remember watching this when it premiered. For years I looked for it. I couldn't remember the name of the show, but remembered that David Sanborn was the host. Checked him out on Wikipedia, got the name of the show and checked on YouTube.
I got into Blondie after I saw the 'Behind the Music.' I was hooked immediately. First album I picked up was Parallel Lines of course due to avail. (Their other albums at the time were only available through import) then picked up all the others in one shot. I went from listening to bands like Slayer and Napalm Death to an obsessed Blondie fan!!!
It's no surprise that Debs looks hot but she sounds great too! Auto-American kinda tipped me off that she could do the jazzy thing but she never really followed it up (until I'd gone elsewhere, obviously)
Oh! I remember this show. It was hosted by David Sanborn (playing horn on this song). There was a bump before or after one of the commercial breaks that showed Debbie playing the trombone. One of those rare things that very few actually know about her.
I was never much into Calmarie, but after giving this performance a try... I'm in love.

Wow -> very rare footage and a unique performance. Proving once again, in case anyone was still wondering, that DH can do anything she wants to.
Magnifique.

I saw this the night it was broadcast in 1990. She looked amazing that year.
She seems to be trying to "throw" the guy who is attempting to harmonize with her in some parts!
