The TF2 soldier "flick" jump

I take WAY more fall damage when I do jumps like this.

If you really want to do this type of jump at ease, use this script:

alias +rj "+duck; +attack; +jump"

alias -rj "-duck; -attack; -jump"

bind +rj to whatever you want to use to jump, I use mouse2.

You need to have the rocket launcher out and be facing the ground use this properly.

I can't do that. I've tried, I suck at that specific kind of rocket jump. I just stick to the normal one. Shoot directly below you + Crouch jump :P

Dudes just play the game in directx 8.1/8.0 my pc can handle directx 9 but in an online shooter you gotta choose between graphics or squeezing every last bit of fps out of your game. If you prefer graphics play MW2 or something

mmm fall damage !!!! You loose hp for nothing, you can do these 2 jumps only loosing 54hp the fall brings that up to 78hp. I know there is a medikit, but in matchs it wont be there for long.

the problem with this is... i have xbox, and I've tried for so long to adjust the fucking sensitivity for tf2 but I cant find out how! so the look tool doesnt turn quick enough to be able to do that jump. rofl.

Old, but still one of the best tools I use to cover ground.

Tip: On 2fort, the sewer exits (into water) are the best example of where to use this. You'll beat scouts across the water if you do it right.

how can you not get fall damage? if you do it low then you dont get as much distance.

You get maximum horizontal distance if you angle it right while getting minimal fall damage. Almost none really, but you want to get fall damage if a medic only has one patient going to mid. If there are more than one (1 demo and 2 sollies) then you try not to take that much fall damage
