  • Hey Tuan have you tried these in the lower rep ranges? I've messed around with them in the 10-15 and I didn't get nearly as much carry over as I did in the 3-5 rep ranges. Usually I will do 3 sets of 5 or if I'm feeling a bit burned out I will do a down set of 8 after 2 sets of 5.

  • you got to make your power yell a little lower hahah. But good lifting bro keep it up

  • nice depth!!!

  • Nice job man! I can only get 7 for 225 so you have me beat!

  • haha i though you had an ugly beard

  • LOL he sounds like he's getting fingered in the ass. LOL JK nice squats

  • I have to do these for my highschool football lifting program and it hurts my shoulders from the bar leaning on them. any suggestions on what i am doing wrong?

  • @xNJxPRODIGYx yeah its called your a pussy harden the fuck up man

  • @xNJxPRODIGYx Just ignore the pain, say fuck it.

  • @roughneckasian cheers thank you for your reply. After looking at your other videos it's clear that you are quite committed as a trainer. It shows through your training and your willingness to give advice. You don't see it that often and as a trainer myself i appreciate that. keep up the good work.

  • nicce front squat. what grip did you use? arms crossed?

  • @seandp99 yes

  • What's going down? YOUR HIPS BELOW PARALLEL THATS WHAT! haha. Good going man. I fucking hate front squats though. Can't do them for shit.

  • Good form and good range of motion.

  • Have you tried olympic style weightlifting?

  • @DKerelchuk some, but need more mobility to do them better

  • Quite right and I'm eating my words now arent I?

  • all people make mistakes. nothing wrong with making mistakes as long as you learn from them.

  • Now this I like! 100% raw and below parallel! And yes, you are much stronger than me, I could get 225 for maybe 6 (bw185lbs). For making the body stronger tho, full rom seems to be the way to go (according to what I've read). I must confess I did not know that partial front squats had a real function (other than people not WANTING to go all the way down); but if it works for building the body, then it works.

  • again, one must understand that an exercises must be modifited to fit the goal of the sport. bodybuilders are not having a squating contest to see who wins nor do powerlifters have to have ripped abs and tanned for their meets.

at least you can admit when you have made a mistake but do not call out others unless you have all the facts. would it be right if I said you are not a "real man" just because you can not match me in my front squats? just some advice for your future comments

  • if you are doing this for powerlifting why are you doing 15 reps? powerlifting training is more about sets of 5 for big compund assistance exercises isnt it?

  • so your done with body building now?!?!

  • nice form!

  • that guy wit the medicine ball at the beginning of the video is gettin at it hardcoreee! mad broLy!

  • thanks

  • The thing that is impressive to me about this is the fact that you did this after doing 6 heavy sets of back squats. By then your legs must have been feeling it and you still were able to do a 15 rep set of front squats to close out your workout. Good shit man.

You really get some good depth too. It is not often you see people on YouTube go that deep.

  • thanks for the comment

  • omg...i hate this exercise...^^ hurts the shoulders too much^^ and is also hard for lower back..

  • please take the time to read the info portion on the top right hand side. You will fine that there are many benefits to this exercise. also, just like you traps or the top portion of you back had to adapte to the bar on regular squats, it will take time for your delfs to adapte as well. but all in all, fronts squats have been proven to be high efficent exercise in the "The American Journal of Sports Medicine" and many other Sports Science affiliations

  • you are my prophet when it comes to bodybuilding. Definitely gonna try some front squats because all those reasons make it sounds so much better to do than it looks like

  • Omg, that's a lot for a front squat. I can only do like 25 or 35 on each side for a front squat, depending on the rep range.

  • lookin huge there bro!

  • do u use facebook Tuan?

  • Good Luck Bro.

  • thanks

  • Tuan do natural bodybuilders get paid a decent amount of money?

  • you do not make any money until you turn pro. and even when you do, its not alot.

  • good luck w/ ur competition

i hope u win cuz u try so hard

  • I tried this lift with the bar only, and it hurt my front deltoids so much i had to stop. Are you supposed to hold the bar on top of your clavicles so it doesn't press down so hard on your deltoid? But good job and good luck at your comp!

  • That's impressive. Most powerlifters don't do any quad work or front squats. Also do you do high bar or low bar squats when you're PLing? Great vids.

  • front squats at 15 reps, now thats endurance mate. 225 quite an accomplishment too, did i hear you say you have a competition coming up is so, your doing well mate. cheers

  • thanks. just wish there was a better way to keep the weight on the shoulders when the weight gets heavier. just wants to roll off.

  • yes valid point. I think the law of physics have their own way when it comes to leveraging and weights. Regardless your doing good and gain is important for the competition i would say, keep focused and aim for that win. talk laters. cheers

  • Good Luck Dude

  • thanks

  • arnt front squats the "shit" when it comes to making ur quads grow?

  • there are great, but i feel i get more from leg press for growth. but they are amazing when it comes to building a stronger and larger body.

  • dman.. thats crazy ..

  • i'm vietnamese and ur my inspiration
