I promise I will look for Prometheus, but from what I have read so far it looks pretty much like 60s derivative pseudo-scientific quasi-religiosity. Whenever someone comes out with a detailed enough model of consciousness that you could fit it into a D&D book your bullshit detector should just go bananas...
People have a tendency to tag "pseudoscience" to books they want to discredit. It is definitely a book based on soft science and social science though. One thing you should know is Leary's model is mostly a synthesis and organization of older ideas. Leary mostly rehashed the ideas of Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. His originality lies in his concept of "re-imprinting," which he discovered with his experiments with LSD psychotherapy.
These experiments have been replicated by numerous other doctors and scientists until the research was entirely outlawed by the government. The parts of Prometheus Rising that mention the evolution of the nervous system are not pseudoscience. I have read the same information in Carl Sagan books and other material.

Bill O'reilly and Alex Jones have a large imprint on the second circuit, the anal emotional territorial circuit, which perverts the time-binding semantic circuit (3-circuit). I might do a video making fun of them for that. We are domesticated primates.
23 skidoo. Look up 8-circuit model of consiousness on wikipedia if you want to know more about this stuff. That is what RAW is talking about here. Also you can take some cocaine if you really wish to activate your third circuit (not too much though please.) Other stimulants usually apply just as well, or at least similarly to the third circuit. A high protein diet is said to have the same effect.
I recommend reading Prometheus Rising. It is a good book. I might do some videos on the model. Although, I am not sure how a high protein diet has anything to do with the circuit. Could you elaborate on this?
Oh I plan on reading the book once I get my hands on it. I just heard someone say that a high protein diet was good for the third circuit and I don't much remember if they explained anything about it after that, but it seems to make sense, it would promote brain development and health. I also know that if you ever read about the way that Owsley Stanley diets, he eats nothing but meat and eggs and such (no carbohydrates), it seems to validate the theory. I mean all these dairy products and...
carbohydrates seem to make one feel fat, full, and content (first circuit activation) while proteins seem to be more for growth and concentration stimulation.
How this 8 circuits theory fit with the chakras theory?
