My friend Arida was able to get Kong Nay to perform at a remembrance ceremony for her mother (she had been dead for years but had never had a funeral). He was making up one very long song as he went, incorporating things about Arida and her mother. At times, I felt like I was at a Khmer Blues club located in a dried paddy in Takao! And all the old women with their heads shaved sitting down front -- almost like groupies. Very very happy I got to hear him play.
Why does it matter that he is blind?

"He very good but he blind": Why are you prejudiced against blind people. Maybe you are very beautiful but stupid.
