Thanks for this! I had this album many years ago and lost it - I've been looking for another ever since. She was in a class of her own. I believe this superb orchestra (pushed by a fantastic drummer, BTW) was under the direction of her brother.

Oh, boy ... does this bring back some memories! I spent my 21st birthday at the Talk of the Town in London back in 1975 and Caterina Valente was the star cabaret. She was sensational ... she sang in many different languages, played vibes, juggled, tap danced ... there was nothing this girl couldn't do! The finale of her show was this medley of her two greatest hits and the audience rose at the end for a standing ovation. She was, (and presumably, still is), a fantastic performer.

Ich bin fasziniert! Dieses Konzert habe ich 1976 in der ARD gesehen. Damals war ich 13 und es war und ist für mich ein unvergesslicher TV-Abend. Jahre später war es dann so weit das ich Frau Valente 2 mal live erleben konnte. Beides mal in Düsseldorf. 1986 in der Phillipshalle und dann noch mal in der Tonhalle mit der WDR-Bigband und den Songs von Kurt Weil auf Swing-Jazz arrangiert. Bravo Caterina rufe ich nochmals!
