  • They were about to tear that old building down anyway. The new one has just as crappy of food.

  • @VideoGuyNC

Was this a practice drill or a controled burn?

  • @bigbadredsox Well, the "official" story was that it was an accidental fire. They were planning to tear this store down in little more than a week, but that wasn't needed. The fire department did an investigation, and ruled that no one was at fault - and no charges were being filed as this store was planned for demolition anyway. The timing was VERY suspicious to me however. I thought it was an attempt at an insurance claim.

  • I watched all three of the vids here and it appears that the JFD was really very slow in getting water onto this fire. And how did it get so big so fast?

  • @kirkpatris I take it that was the one on Western, next to the mall? I was in NC at that time, and for some reason I can not remember that McD's fire at all! I may have been back home when it happened, though. That's pretty incredible; I used to stop by that location all the time after my shifts at the Olive Garden were over. :)
