But I am a healer so I would like to mention a thing you left out. I I am not thinking completely wrong it will do that the dmg is more equal over a long period of time, not as it does now and comes in "spikes", imo it will make that you can, the best word I can find for it is, "plan" your heals better.

Yeah, it's actually MORE beneficial for healers, in my view. I'm a Holy Paladin, and I've seen tanks drop in two seconds on HM NR Beasts in about a second, and we couldn't do anything for him.

The Chill of the Throne is actually going to make it to where instead of having a tank randomly dropping in a second, his health will decrease more gradually than the fights are designed to do, now.

I actually look forward to the whole Chill of the Throne deal.

Wrong, It effects other tanks MORE, since they're more avoidance based, while druids have the lowest avoidance and the best way to soak it if it gets nerfed. Basically the OPPOSITE of which you just said.

You know how this sucks to prot warriors? This means less threat per second due to less dodge=less revenge casts. This may not necessarily mean less revenge it means that the chances of having it lighten up on your toolbar is lower. Parry and block just wont cut it. also if you're running togc and assuming you're group is geared enough for togc, you have high enough dps to beat boss timers (beasts), kill portals (jaraxxus), etc. thus the hardest part of the instance in my experience (which i admit is only 3/5) is the transition between gormok and the worms.

i'm told that a priest can levitate all the ranged and healers throughout the gormok phase, and they will take the initial hit from the fire but not the debuff as the fire won't spawn? confirm/deny?

in togc, we have our tanks and healers rotate cooldowns while the last snobold is being killed, due to gormok's damage increase as the fight progresses. and we still lose tanks from time to time since when he hits that 2nd impale (we switch tanks at 2 stacks) it's ticking for 17k or so PLUS he's hitting for like 25k melee hits PLUS the initial damage when he applies the impale .....

tanks may still get gibbed, but tanks and healers rotating cooldowns minimizes the chance of that.

you must not be running togc at all if your tanks never die on gormok. either you're a bad troll or you have no knowledge of this encounter, so i'll spell it out for you:

it's not the impale that kills tanks. it's the 70k or so damage gormok does in about 1.5 seconds before and after the 2nd impale stack. so you bop the tank AFTER gormok dies, they /cancelaura and pick up the worms. you're not suggesting bop a tank before gormok dies, are you? 'cause ... that would be a wipe.

I need to dodge parry and block.

Now if I have less avoidance, I am going to get less mana, Which effectively gives me less threat and less survivability.

Easiest way to fix your tank mana issue is to Spec 2 points into "Guarded by the Light" also 2 points into "Spiritual Attunement" With this you have to start out wtih your divine plea and constantly wack the boss/mob and it will constantly be replenished meaning you should never run out of mana..you also want to keep your blessing of sanc on, because chances are you should keep dodging and blocking maybe not as frequent but still. Also I recommend glyph of Divine plea to lessen the your damage.

Ah yes but in the next patch that will help you..but Blessing of sanctuary is still a good damage reducer and just cause we lose SOME avoidance doesn't mean were losing all of it..my palidan has a 15% block 18% parry and a 25% dodge so if that gets lowered a little bit then it shouldn't effect me tooo much :D

yeah that -20% dodge debuff means quite a bit more for DK tanks than most other tanking classes because our main threat generating move procs from a dodge or parry etc ... unless you have very high dodge they've pretty much made DKs a non-viable tanking class for Icecrown ... or atleast a massively unpreffered tanking class. Stupid really. Parry stacking for the loss

I wouldn't really know but yeah Paladins are known to have a shitload of overhealing and cause a shitload of overhealing to Paladins. But I don't think I'll ever heal. I saw Aliena's UI and it looks like you need to setup quite a few things to help you be a good healer. So yeah I'mma stick to tanking.

Not necessarily, I'm a healadin all I did was just use some raid addons and then get personal addons which move things around to fit you, its whatever is really comfortable for you.

Well to be honest, you either have to pay a lot of attention to your procs and the debuffs the raid is getting and whoever needs heals or you're going to miss it without the addon. So yeah, to make your job easier you need to get that stuff IMHO.

Yeah exactly my point. Healing is in my opinion the hardest job, but definately most boring in Heroics. I've done everything in Uld 25+ content. I raid healed as a Resto Druid, tanked as a Prot Paladin and DK tank, and DPS'd as a Surv Hunter and a DPS DK. And this is what I think in difficulty healing > DPSing > tanking. My main is a tank and everything else I use friend's accounts. As a healer I had to be paying attention through the entire fight tanking I just move a few feet usually.
