Love it how when Parkinson says 'you're now one of the best film actors in the business' Michael Caine doesn't scoff or feign modesty, he's just like 'that's correct, do go on'.
The interview clip of MC in 1974 wasn't really what he noramally looked like then. He only grew the 'stache for a movie. He was always handsome and very young looking even in his 50's. Check out many of his early movies. They are all brilliant. Comedy or drama. MC has never suffered from huge ego or status. That's what is wrong with so many younger actors-they assume status over talent will give them longevity.
Parkinson's is scum just a posh middle class asshole .here in yorkshish we hate him he makes out he is Yorkshire he as not lived here for over 50 years . he lives with all the rest of the twats in London and he as a son called tristram what Yorkshire man would call his son that

Its gonna be a sad sad day when people like Michael Caine, Billy Connolly, Robert De Niro, Sean Connery and so on, no longer will be here.. No one can act like they can - sad day for the moviebusiness.
@LudoJunk They're great actors, and their passing will be a loss, no doubt. But look at their early work, and compare with Ben Foster, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Don Cheadle, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Rockwell and a whole host of characters, plus stars who can act, like Brad Pitt and George Clooney. There may be as much talent in Hollyood and the UK as there ever was. Plus a vast pool from India and China.

Not a truer word said they may be famous but they are still one of us they have been there done that, not like some celebriteies who seem to have it handed to them on a silver plate.
@LudoJunk It will be a great day for the business, because luddites like you will finally be forced to realize just how good the new talent talent is. This pining for past glory helps no-one and forces old actors to take jobs way below their dignity.
i have evenings like this on my own
that will never stop me laughing
