  • I live in fife! Goodness how am I going to get out of there in time??

  • Major earthquakes on MT Rainier made me re-watch this. Kinda glad I moved away from SH/Puyallup.

  • No more fair traffic!

  • thats not orting high school thats ptarmigan

  • I like how it says "still it is not over" and then the video ends

  • I live in Orting I'm screwed!!

  • When a paraclastic flow hits, it is as destructive as an atomic bomb.

  • thank god i live up on the hill. :D

  • wow i must get my gf to the top of the hill qwick

  • I live in the Orting valley lol they tested the sirens yesterday.

  • pretty much if youre anywhere near a lahar youre dead. thank goodness I live up north, haha.

  • Glad I live in Bremerton xD

  • on highway 512 did you guys see the extreme scream snap like a twig?

  • Lahar Stopped Project Village Bachelor, Pampanga, Philippines

  • what i wanna know is the lahar goin UP the 512 when it hits? cuz i live in south hill :/

  • @FrikkenChicken No - look at the video again. A major lahar is only expected to be 40 feet or so when it hits Puyallup. Is you make it up to about the cemetery off of 9th/94th or about 1/3rd the way up Meridian you should be fine.

  • @gallwapa ah i know the place, thanks man ill keep that in mind.

  • it looks like real footage just computer graphics for the lahar and lol i live in Orting

  • Puyallup just had new sirens installed for the lahar and the first test failed.

  • well im screwed...i live in lake tapps, soon sumner...gah...

  • i live in graham which is above the valley...so i get to watch the show from up top

  • so true there would be no more 167...if you live in the valley forget about it and if you on the hills you aint going no where like South Hill, Bonney Lake, Lake Tapps, trapped for a very long time...and if you think you can go around to 5 to get to Seattle forget about it aint happen...sweet vid gallwapa

  • @BIGTEE1471 Thanks - good points. If it happens as described Fife is gone. SH people would have to go around the mountains to get around, like when I-5 flooded down south a few years back.

  • @BIGTEE1471 so what if i lived up on lake tapps... am i screwed

  • Gee, I guess that cancels my plans for living in Puyallup.

  • I am on south hill with a view of the valley. Quite a show.

  • lolz extreme scream snaps like a twig and i live in graham so im dead

  • Comment removed

  • haha i live on the hill im lucky

  • I live in puyallup, lahars are bad

  • LOL at 0:40 I lived in a farm house off tothe side of that hi

way its called 510 i think but now i live somewhere far away from puyallup very far.

  • mt. rainier is the most dangerous volcano when it erupts,it will have the most kill ratio in history

  • i doubt the pyroclastic flow will reach to seattle or tacoma because they're 50 miles away from the volcano so im not screwed

  • You can see the extreme scream falling over at 0:45. Never really liked that ride anyways lol

  • The sad thing is that this area will continue to grow in population. As soon as I'm done with college I'm moving away from this place. Nowhere is 100% safe. But this is considered one of the most dangerous places on the planet to live not just because of this volcano but also because of the earthquakes.

I wonder how many people will complain about how little the government will be able to help. Well dummies, wtf you move there for in the 1st place if you knew this would happen?

  • Unfortunately this is why we did not buy near Puyallup, I have family and friends there also.

Its not a comfortable feeling when they test the lahar siren bullhorns

  • I live in auburn. the white river isn't too far from me and I guess that comes from rainier so maybe I'm screwed too. :)

  • Bobby Jindal didn't like the money for the volcano monitoring equipment. Bah at him.

  • what show did this come from?

    thanx!

  • So THIS is why all the little blue

"Volcano Evacuation Route" signs seem to lead to the South Hill Mall?? We always wondered.

  • good i hate the whole 253 hope it happens after may this year cause then im fucked too lol

  • i live in the puyallup valley so im fucked.

  • @praska12 heyy me too lol

  • Great! Just what I was looking for!

  • they forgot to eliminate parkland lol!

  • yah lakewood tacoma and spokane maybe if the river gets this far

  • thank god i dont live in puyallup but have family there lol !

  • I live in orting, and go to OHS

    yay?

  • We'll, I live in South Hill, so I have practically no chance of dying. Orting is definitely fucked.

  • South Hill's right above Puyallup.

  • at least i live at bellevue...

  • And that's why I live on the hill :]

  • You to?

  • Yupp yupp.

  • I am sorry but I love this. Because I live by the fair grounds and I drive on 512 all the time, right actually where they showed it at. You know its nice to really know what you are up against if the fat lady ever decides to clear her throat.(Mt. Rainier)

  • Hi, thanks for posting this! I was actually at the Puyallup River today (near Orting)because it was in the 90's & my German Shepherd needed cold water! While there I was thinking about the flood after Mt St Helens blew, & so Googled the river- Your video popped up. Apparently the future looks GRIM! Oh well... I live just uphill by Kapowsin; on the highest ground, w/perfect view of Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens & Mt Adams- if any of 'em blow I intend to stay home, sip cocktails & watch the show!

  • Hehe - The special on the history channel is fantastic! I ordered it when I saw it. It is from "Mega Disasters" series, American Volcano

  • Nuke Mt. Rainier...Lets just get it over with already

  • Because clearly Nuking a volcano will solve EVERYTHING

  • yah i live the orting valley so hey im fucced fun times.

  • No your not .... just get the phu@@ outta the way ... you have like 40 minutes right ? get up on a BIG dam hill really quick like ...

  • ok.. now that is fucking powerful...

  • yeah dude im right next to the fair grounds in the valley, and i just watched this vid in science today

  • omfg I liver there now in Puyallup and Mt. Rainier is like 5 years over due. It could explode any day XP

  • AHHH! i lived in puyallup...i dont care if mt rainier explodes, i still wanna go bac there...snowboarding there is fun...well they say that if you go to south hill you might be in high enough ground to survive...i used o live close to souith hill mall XD

  • I live in Puyallup. Luckily I live right next to Good Samaritan so I could easily get there.

  • Nice i live in Puyallup and work and go 2 school in Tacoma... my odds are good if it happens in my life time!

  • if ur job is in tacoma and erupts when ur working its safe

  • Orting buried! Really couldn't happen to a more deserving town. There are no brains in Orting.

  • maybe thats YOUR opinion.

  • no its true, i go to OHS lol

  • Comment removed

  • yea i live there :o

  • the extreme scream falls over at the fair :( my school is right there. i live right at 0:42

  • Isn't that like next to south hill mall?

  • Yep...That is looking down from Highway 512 from the overpass.

  • Usually the wind blows to the east. I used to live in the apts directly to the right of the hwy shown in 00:42.

  • ese fenomeno se dio 18 de marzo de 2007 en nueva zelanda

  • Wow - impressive that they have had many. The problem is, they are anticipating our lahar to be large enough to wipe out anything in its path due to the sheer size of the debris that is expected to slide off of the mountain. I live on on the hill you see at 00:42 in the video at about the same elevation so I should be safe - only have to worry about the ash.
