it looks better for those watching, the guy in the shot wont get as good a view. since, it wont seem be 3D to him. This isnt necessarily fake, though being a commerical I wouldnt put it past them. Its like those 3D building projections you see a lot of these days, From afar on a dark night, they look amazing.

It's very well done!

Projections calculated to give a sense of perspective even though it's projected onto an existing vertical plane (either wall) or existing horizontal plane (duh, the floor).

It wasn't long ago when they started painting ad-blocks on sports pitches so the camera view's "perspective" would make it look "upright" to the viewer, from the viewer's viewpoint. Down at pitch level, it's an odd stretched-out thing you'd see.

Think also of "sidewalk chalk"!!

lets be honest though - clever as it is - its a classic lights and shadow trick init - exactly the point - great light films rooms - this has NOTHING TO DO WITH PS3 and the realistic likley hood of it ever entering our homes i would say are very slim... what commerical market is gonna want that? its not immersive... you sit down and watch lights - BUT you HAVE to watch them from a perfect angle, if not, its obvious its a trick.

so meh. good fun, esentially a waste of money

@megabrowser17 Well yes, they were funded by PS store, but it doesn't mean it's related to gaming, they're mostly talking about how to change the way we watch movies if I remember correctly, and since they were funded by a PS Store, they used a technology from them which is used for gaming. Like when Kinect is used for other purposes, the motion control isn't restricted to gaming although that tool is created for PS3's motion games.

The point is, is that it doesn't have to do with playing video games! Even Kinect had their advertisements related to gaming, by showing them playing games with it! They're just trying to advertise without thought of proper regulation of what should go where, plain and simple. There are several categories way more suited to this kinda thing and I hate when all the top game videos get filled with crap like this, day after day.
