Unlike most of you guys I was actually at this show, and I thought it was really boring. My friend liked it, but of course most tool fans have this feeling of "higher being" at Tool concerts, as Maynard is so fucking wasted on acid that he doesn't even realize he's playing a concert and basically just whines random sentences that fans somehow consider deep. Fans like him also like to think that the lyrics have a deep spiritual meaning only they can comprehend, which is hilariously pathetic.

To all the people saying his stage presence was influenced by a heavy dose of LSD, it isnt acid. I was there. Reading festival 1993. It was the first time I had seen Tool. I think they were the first act on the Friday afternoon. Maynard was like this mentalist the whole set, I thought he was fuckin insane literally, yet so very compelling. Fucking amazing. If you look around you tube there is more of this set, it was televised very late at night on an alternative music program transmitted shortly after the british music festival season in 1993. I'll try to find out what program.

I went to see them when they were in Australia recently and can i just say that price does not matter. I paid $140 for the ticket plus around $200 for flights and I in no way regret it. You will earn lots of money in your life but you may never get the chance to see Tool again. To anyone with the chance I recommend beg, borrow and do everything in your power to see them because it will blow your mind and introduce you into an amazing new world
