  • AK47: Big recoil you got there AR!

    AR15: Okay :(

  • is that a misfeed at 1:06?

  • When my friend fired the AR-15, the shells popped out and hit me in the nuts three times, despite the fact I moved around.

  • Notice all the stuff bounce of the ground at each shot, huge concussion going on.

I'v seen lots of dead grass lay down in front of the shooter when a rifle is fired, something you dont see when behind the gun!

  • what camera?

  • gun porn...

  • AR iron's are easy to shoot with as long as you get the hang of them, first. It's even easier if it's at a range you frequently shoot at. Optics are usually used for their quick engagement ability rather than precise medium-long range ability at a low cost.

  • Pretty dang snazzy music and footage!

  • I was wondering why I didn't see the bolt slam back in place, I wanted to see how much bounce it has in slow-mo... But go-figure the damned AR jams.

Just as a side note, of all the people who swear by the reliability of AR's I've must of fired atleast 8, and have yet to fire one that didn't jam the entire session (most of which weren't very long)

  • @Albrtd3

Obvious ak fanboy. That is no jam. Hes just needs a heavier buffer.

  • @drbackjack Wrong, I hate AKs with a vengeance. It has nothing to do with the function of it, I just don't like the looks. I shot one once, it didn't jam, but I had a hard time making the bullets go where I wanted to, which was a minus as well.

I like shotguns, SKS's, Suomi M31's, and my trusty Mosin Nagant.

  • @Albrtd3 did you fire the A2 versions or A4? A2s are very picky on ammo, but the current ones will eat just about everything, even tula ammo!

  • @ELITEHAMSTER123 Not a clue, none of them were mine. But I have fired an AR-10, and my shooting buddy always takes it out with him, and I have yet to see it jam.

  • @ELITEHAMSTER123 HUH?

Maybe your A2 had a problem but most good ARs will shoot anything that can fit in a magazine and is loaded to proper pressure specifications.

  • @Albrtd3 Once you get a machine gun you hardly shoot the ars anymore but they all work better when you spray oil on the bolt.

  • that's a nice looking gun. I wonder why he went with iron sites instead of an optic. do you know what type of barrel he installed? I've been shopping for one and can't decide...there are just too many options.

  • @sniffsnarff He was nailing that little target that was over 200 yards away with no effort. He said if he was hunting small game, yeah, a scope would come in handy, but I think he liked the challenge of not having one for match shooting. He was a damn good shot! We didn't talk much about the gun since a giant storm was blowing in and I had to scoot!

  • @taofledermaus lol im with this guy i shoot 100 yards with iron sighted 22's for a challenge it makes it more fun :)

  • @sniffsnarff

AR15 with just iron sights, you can pick off a lot of targets at 200 yards. With most AK47 variants, youd be lucky to hit the target at all.

BTW that looks like a bull barrel. and if your shooting 55 grain rounds, i find a 1-9 twist ratio seems to work best, more accuracy, and a faster bullet.

check out DPMS, or Del-Ton here in north carolina.

  • @crunchyuncle, I was thinking about going with a White Oak Armament 16 inch 1:7 twist Match Grade Stainless Steel barrel..reason being, it's only a few bucks more...and I HATE cleaning rust off of ANYTHING (I know, even SS will rust, but here in Florida, you're just 1 sea breeze away from an orange barrel).

  • @sniffsnarff

haha yea i hear ya there, im in the cape fear area myself, wilmington nc, to be exact.

after a week of camping, the morning dew on my AR creates a light rust on the barrel, but s.steel, as you suggested, may be better.

To each their own i suppose.

i just checked that barrel out, its a beaut! you getting the extended gas tube? or standard?

  • @crunchyuncle, I think that particular barrel only comes in a mid-length gas tap flavor. I do like the longer gas tubes like what's on the full length barrels..they say it makes the BCG operate smoother and last longer, but ehh...this is a carbine. It's for when TSHTF ;-)

Wilmington, eh? NC is nice. I miss hills..and terrain in general. I'm in flat Orlando.

  • @sniffsnarff

shtf, i fear its getting closer to that time, i believe there is an open carry tax protest going on as i am typing in N. VA quite close to DC.

Yea, pretty flat here as well sir, nothing but pine trees, swamps, venus fly traps, and islands..

  • @crunchyuncle,

Open carry tax protest...I thought VA had some stringent carry laws? They had those massive billboards on I-95, threatening gun-owning travelers who are crossing their state...and they hate radar detectors...I lived in VA for 3 months - box checked. I'm done.

flat in Wilmington..damn..but that makes sense - I just looked at it on a map. I haven't yet gone too far east or west of I-95 on most of my trips up the east coast.

  • @sniffsnarff

oops i lied, its on monday the 19th, ill send you a link.

yea i lived in Alexandria VA in the 80s....hectic to say the least.

This is a good little town here, open carry is allowed, and people do.

hell check out one of my videos where i called the BATF about open carrying, and transportation, tell me what you think.

  • @sniffsnarff Great thing about the AR15 rifle. There's so many types of barrels to choose from.Best, yl

  • @sniffsnarff Iron sights can be just as much fun as optics.

  • AR shouldn't be jamming like that.

  • @Whitehorze That was from another video shoot. He had just installed a match barrel and had to work out some alignment or ramp issues.

  • wow that match barrel barely wobbles

  • @ChunkyMilkProduction It was a sweet AR and he was an excellent shot with it.

  • @taofledermaus were'd you get that "slick sides" style upper reciever?

  • @ChunkyMilkProduction That is one reason they are accurate, that barrel is also free floated. Check out what an AK looks like in slow mo.

  • well done... nice angles!

  • @weaponeer Thank you. I was using a shutterspeed of about 1/3200 and I was REALLY hoping to see a bullet, but nope! Being overcast didn't help much. I even had trouble catching 22's in flight today!
