Lizzie plays w/Bingley's Great Dane. Mr. Darcy, (Colin Firth the REAL DARCY) is also staying there & begins to see there is a lot more to Elizabeth Bennet & starts to fall for her. In this scene he is just coming out of his bath & looks out the window to see Liz playing with the dog. Look at his eyes! He's fallen 4 her!!

Great video! After finishing the book, I wanted a sequel so badly, but didn't care for fanfictions, so I thought why not see a movie version of it instead? The 1995 BBC adaptation proved to be the best, and now I want to see all of Colin Firth's movies. I never liked the 2005 version with Keira Knightley at all, even though that was the one I saw first. In the 1995 BBC adaptation, the actors did very well to capture the essence of my favourite book.

I saw it and found it less entertaining. One of my friends here told me that it is truer to the book. C. Firth is too loverble. Darcy should be disliked by even the last spinster. Since I haven't read a book yet, I don't have opinion, but it sounds right. It is a good idea with Austen at least for me to read a book first. The action is rather slow and there are lot of characters to keep track.

I have not read P&P in English, so I cannot really tell how much of the original text is used in the script of different adaptations. As for how the characters are depicted; I think that what one thinks is the closest to the novel depends much on how one reads and interprets the novel.

A reply to you PM: As july12prod already has answered, the walking cane was used from time to time as an accessory. Sometimes a special type of sword was hidden in it. I think it is called sword cane in English.
