As much as i love the original classic look of it i must say you did a stunning job here. Just wow. You are a true maniac. ;) Congrats for this beauty!
Almost had me in tears ......Your car is stunning!...brought back OLD memories of my first car...and oh what fun I had in it on The Calif coast where I lived.......And as Batvette stated......(and I tried hard too) ...you can't roll one of these babies ..and to 180 or 360 it ...is not only easy but fun as hell!....Kudos to a great video and going down memory lane!.....(oh yeah one last word...ENVIOUS...:)...
beautiful! though I'd have deleted the vinyl on the pillars, but to each his own. In 1981 I bought a '72 1.7, it had 916 bumpers front and rear,(with rectangular fog lights) riviera 5 spoke wheels, lowered about an inch, blue metallic. Great car, I was too young to know how to drive it properly but survived the few times I swapped ends lifting off at mid apex- once at 80 mph in wet, did a 360 and never touched a rail.
god this is one of the best 914s iv seen by far. their great track cars and handle so great. the down side however is i cant fit in the little thing and their slow factory but great non the less
Since I REALLY enjoy Porsche autos, of any year, I REALLY enjoyed your video!!!! I have only just begun re-learning of the 914. The Air Force had me assigned in Stuttgart decades ago and a friend of mine bought one used. I find your 914 absolutely beautiful!! I'd take it just as it is, without changing a thing, and drive it daily. The only thing that bothers me about them is no backseat. Where is the fuel door? So now I know there is a 4 cyl AND a 6. Thank You very much!! :)
I like the running boards. They go well with the rear turbo flares, and must help protect them from rock chips and cones. They must also help stiffen the car.
Great video. Too bad the event you entered sa2w fit to litter the track with all the cone crap and not let you run. C'mon, slalom cones on a back stretch? Stupid and distracting.
Otherwise - nicely built car although I don't care for the SUV running boards. They simply detract from the overall design asthetics and don't belong.
