So to set up a saltwater tank, do you really NEED all of the giant pumps and crap? lol!! We have a 10 gallon that is freshwater right now and my sister is going to take her mickey mouse platys (theres only two) in a smaller tank with her to college, so im thinking about making a salt water tank out of it... is it possible? thanks.
@starbucks10v3r your pretty much starting form scratch. Im going to be blunt; a nano-tank (under 30 gallons) is not easy to take care of. Perhaps look into a biocube or other all-in-one tanks. Live rock is the skeloten of the reef, providing structure and biological filtration. You need a pound a gallon, ranging from usually $7-10/pound. With a protein skimmer, heater, sand, liverock and livestock, i would give you a quote of about $200.
can you pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee make another video of you cleaning your tank i will like to know how its done ......thank you =P
Very nice! Perfect... lots of swimming room, nice healthy happy fish! congrats man! finally a video that people should look up to and base there tank off of! its not crowded its just awesome!
as well as this is done it should have way more views though. have you put in about 40 aquarium terms in the edit tags feature of your channel?> if you do it will become relevant much faster in the searches, this tank rocks
wonderful tank! You have left open swimming room in front and behind, this also allows for great detritus removal from otherwise stagnant spots really well done for the long haul.
That's so cool. I like that clam. :p I might get a Saltawter tank & I was wonedering if you could buy Saltwater fish at a regular pet store or if you have to go to someplace else?
Thanks. I took the $.98 pavers at my local hardware store and drilled a hole in it with a masonry bit. Then, I stuck a 3/8" fiberglass rod in the hole. Next, I drilled the rock and stacked the rock on the rods.
yeah i got a 125 sps. put a sailfin tang in the other day and my yellow tang killed it when i turned my back on the tank for 5 mintues. Your tank looks just like mine. Good job.
Awesome! I like it. Rush makes everything better.

Thanks. I took the $.98 pavers at my local hardware store and drilled a hole in it with a masonry bit. Then, I stuck a 3/8" fiberglass rod in the hole. Next, I drilled the rock and stacked the rock on the rods.
